“Great stay”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

We always enjoy our stay at the Disney value resorts. We were in the Little Mermaid section by Ursula. It was about a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. Little Mermaid has a nice size pool with free life vests available to use. The laundry facility is right by the pool and very clean. About 2.00 to wash and 2.00 to dry- these dryers are new, so they actually get your load dry in less than one cycle! Rooms are very small but clean and themed in a way that our two girls loved. AOA has a large dining area with lots of food choices- including vegetarian. The best value we found was ordering a large pizza for under 15.00. It was more than large enough for our family of four. The make your own pasta was also always good- it will feed 2 people. Overall, a well- manicured resort with cute themed areas and pools at a reasonable rate for Disney.

This is a fairly new hotel, clean and new. But it looks like the fail in service and lacks the Disney Magic. Seems that the staff and crew do not possess the magic if Disney compared to other Disney Hotels I've stayed in. Room maintenance took them 7 hours to come over to my room after 4 calls. I'm greatly disappointed with this hotel. The towels are small and thin. No bedroom slippers, lacks in toiletry amenities such as the toothbrush. Not worth it. Find another Disney hotel.

Smooth sailing all the way around! Clean and BEAUTIFUL such a courteous staff! Family suite was a perfect layout to accommodate our family of 4 with privacy and space for everyone! We stayed in the finding Nemo. Decor was just AMAZING! Pools were great! Food was good too! Love love love!

This was a family vacation. Two adults and two children. 4 year old and 1 year old. My 4 year old loved every bit of the resort except for how loud it was in the eatery. We were happy with the pools, the resort is very clean top to bottom, lots to see and do on the grounds. Cleaning team does a great job keeping up with rooms and extra touches. Cleaning staff was friendly and always kind. Check in was a breeze and staff was great. Quiet in room. We had a lion king suite. Two bathrooms was nice with a family of 4. Store has a lot of great items. My daughter had a blast in the arcade on a rainy evening. The staff keeps up activity indoors and out pending the weather.

Downside: busy, lots of guests - in fact 500 guests checked in the same day we did! very loud in eatery at all meal times, beds are hard, after long day at parks I want to come back to a cozy bed! sheets/pillow cases very rough like sand paper. Some staff in eatery were grumpy and frustrated with questions. One employee was very rude after I asked if fruit and a pastry came with breakfast on the dining plan. I had it confused with another entree and she seemed very annoyed she had to take a moment to explain to me how the meal plans for breakfast worked. There was not a breakfast we tried and liked. We did like the dinners they had. Dinning closures made for pure chaos today and yesterday.

I won't stay at AOA again due to how busy it is at all hours.

We had a great time at the hotel. Our family of 5 stayed in adjoining rooms with the grandparents. It worked out awesome. One of the kids got to sleep in a bed alone in the grandparent's room each night this made it more affordable than a suite. The pools were clean and so fun for the kids to swim in. The walk to the main eating area and main pool was long but we all enjoyed walking the path with the themed animals and nice weather. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the eating area was noisy. The food was fine but the minute you opened the doors it was just so noisy. Other than that we had a great time.

Went with family (2 boys 6 and 4) and we stayed in Cars' suite ... !what an experience!, totally worth the money. The rooms are excellent, with amazing detail, and it being a suite, we could provide our own snack/food for much less money.
Also, the spacious interiors of these suites, and multi-room setup allowed us to get plenty of rest between our excursions to the parks. We loved the rooms!

Outside is gorgeous, and on car's side every little boy's dream. My kids loved the cozy cone pool and enjoyed running around the playground on nemo's side. Overall very clean, safe and well made resort. The main pool was always crowded, but we still had a lot of fun in it.

For some reason staff at this resort wasn't as pleasant and accommodating as at the other ones in the past, but that didn't affect our experience and overall was still very good ... room service on the other hand was average at best (and this is stretching it). They always were cleaning late (on the bottom floor too) and getting annoyed when we entered the room to pick up different shoes or forgot something. They never left enough towels even when asked (especially when you have to take them from your room to the pool.) I also would love for them to remember that people do speak Spanish, even if they don't look it (not sure how to explain that in a nicer way) but I think they know now ;-). Disney should look into room service issues as it takes away from this marvelous resort.

Overall we loved it there and will come back as this became our favorite resort for trips with kids. Above all, we though the price to what you get was great. Good job on this one Disney.

Room Tip: Try not to get the room close to the building entry doors. They are loud and CONSTANTLY in use. Some...
