“Excellent stay and meeting”

I stayed there for a week. The convention center is very convenient to the hotel. My room has atrium view which was great in spite that I had to ask for higher floors for a better view. The whole place was still nicely decorated for the holidays. The room service menu needs more options.

The facility caters to large groups and conventions. It's atrium dome acts as an echo chamber for noise. If you are a serious business traveler or a family that is interested in sleep, the Gaylord is not for you. Despite moving rooms, the noise was intolerable. Management are unwilling to address the prized convention guests. The hotel is probably fine if you are here with 1000 salespeople, but for the money and remote location, there are many better business and family-friendly high-end hotels in Orlando.

Just returned from fantastic stay at this property 1/5-1/10.
Food provided by corporate vendors but service was top notch
Actually had a chance to swim In the pool and used the slide
Front desk folks very helpful and housekeeping was excellent.

Room Tip: I chose one in the Everglades section, walked right out to the outdoor pool and also had nice walk...

The hotel and conference center is great. Only two complaints is that the bed and pillows were poor, and the wifi was not strong. Great additions since last time we were there were the addition of a kids waterpark and free transportation to and from Disney parks.

Room Tip: Book an atrium view room.

Here for a business meeting. This is a fantastic self-contained property, great for a business meeting. The ease of access via Orlando International is a big plus.

While I sampled banquet food only during my visit, it was thoughtfully prepared and well presented. Mid $160's rate was fair given the amenities of the property.

Would have been nice to have lobby / near lobby computer access (instead of the hike to FedEx Kinkos on property) but otherwise the property is well thought out.

Room Tip: this is an expansive property.....ifyou would like to limit your "walk" to / from meetings...

Magnificent attrium => YES. Nice Pool Area => YES. Rooms?... eh....Here goes my story....we were upgraded, thanks to the marriott status of my husband and we were given a lavish, oversized room on the 8th floor on the emerald side (away from lobby, in the main atrium). It was not soon after we entered, we realized the CATCH. We were right on top of the "Emerald STAGE" with acoustic speakers, live performances literally and even though their stage agenda was 20 minutes show here and there, music played non stop in between, and grandeur of the room crumbled like a house of cards. Because you can mix dining with live performance, shopping or dancing with live performance, but hotel sleep? That is like sleeping over a moving train, the two DO NOT mix even if that is only for two weeks surrounding Christmas in the entire year!
I had two little hungry babies with me when we walked the long walk back to the lobby. They changed our room to the everglades atrium on the 4th floor which was better because even though the space in that room as shockingly cramped, the rooms showed its age, and the noise from the emerald stage still made it, it did not feel like the floor was shaking beneath my feet when all I wanted was to put my feet up and relax!
Parking is expensive but given the size of the property and with two small kids, we had no choice but to go for valet worth precious 25 bucks daily. Valet was organized, and the valet workers were professional.
Rest, we had a nice stay even though we had a rocky start in our introduction to the grand gaylord!
One day we needed some mac and cheese and/or grilled cheese sandwich for my kid, and my husband went to all three restaurants on location and they did not have it. A little hard to believe, but that happened.
P.S. - my soft corner will remain for the Dallas Gaylord that had miniature train models, and san antonio mock inside over this one.

Room Tip: For more quiet experience, stay in the everglades atrium. For parking, pay the extra 6 dollars for v...

Overnight stay before Disney Resort I just wanted to check out this resort because of my Awesome Experience at The Gaylord in Nashville. This resort is a bit smaller with Tropical appeal. From the manicured grounds to the clean and spacious rooms. As a Marriott Elite member we were upgrade to an Atrium View. Nice. The Spa was beautiful along with the attentiveness of their staff. Next visit I would stay longer to take advantage of the adult pool which looks amazing. Their Sport Bar . Amazing. With one long row of seating that faces a wall screen. The Coffee Bean coffee and service exceeded my expectations. Only con: if you have a car you will be charged $18 per day plus tax on that and a $20 per day plus two taxes added on that making it $24. Look towards paying an extra $45 per day if you have a car and resort fee. Elite or Gold members you still have to pay unlike other Marriott resorts that waive that fee. All in all beautiful resort, plenty of fishes and alligators to see just beware of the charges.

Room Tip: We had a an Atrium view. Nice to look down off of Balcony and see the beautiful fishes.
