“History Center for Osceola County”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014

This is an attraction on the other side of the street from Pioneer Village. The theme is
Osceola County BEFORE DISNEY. Admission is FREE, Parking is Free. The only thing that you need to pay is for recharging the battery if you are driving a TESLA, credit card only. The outside sign says "Welcome Center" It is a situation where local people think they are not welcome because it is for visitors. Visitors think "welcome" is to sell something so they do not go either. This multimillion dollar attraction is paid for by grants from many state and national historic organizations. There is also free parking and you do not need to stand in line to get in.

“Curiosity”

Wasn't welcomed as I expected, guess they were short handed. But the place was very interesting. Has culture and history of Kissimmee.

“Great history lesson”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

For $5 per person you can stroll through historical buildings of what life was like a few years ago. The staff are very nice and helpful. We went self guided and read about the history of each little building. Restrooms were clean and we went across the street for a little nature walk and got to see a couple more buildings (you could not go inside of those).

The guide made this an excellent experience. He was funny, knowledgeable and even ended the tour by playing the mandolin!
