Great little place to experience some immersive history of the area. There are many signs packed with interesting information about the buildings and the people who were associated with them. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative and was able to answer all of our questions about the village. A very nice way to spend an afternoon.

TIP: check the local guide books for coupons. We found one and saved $3 per adult ticket

Great value and really nice if you just want to see some local history of the area. Wander around the buildings and read about the history of the family who created it. Really small gift shop but a good way to spend an hour or so for $7 pp

We adored this museum. We received a friendly, warm welcome, and enjoyed a pleasant few hours strolling around in the heat learning about the wealth of local history that these folk have preserved in such an interesting way... I felt like I was there. Thanks for keeping it alive :-)

We visited the village as we were staying just at the end of the road! The village is well set out and clearly sign posted with lots of interesting information. It was good to read about the history of the area, rather than just the focus upon Disney and the theme parks. Reasonable price, and lots of good out door space.

We visited the Pioneer Village not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. There is a small fee of $7.00 to go through and there were some volunteers on hand to explain the history. It was very interesting to see how the Seminole’s lived in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. There are replicas of their homes and there are some originals. You can do the tour in about a half hour but if you want there are trails to walk or ride your bikes that would take about another hour. If you like history this is quite interesting.

I was here nearly two hours and there were groups of people visiting from Canada and Brazil. There was even an organized group tour of Kissimmee area business people that are in partnership with this non-profit organization. I was informed they promote this historic site to tourists at various business sites within the community. Having done non-profit work presently and in the past I know of the importance in forming partnerships with like minded people and/or groups at large. Overall they do a reasonable good job in presenting the local interests from a historic perspective from the 1800's. They use various buildings and people dressed up to present information from this time period. Some could consider this place modest in nature but they do have plans for the site in the future. If you are into history than this place will certainly inform you!

This is a fascinating place with lots of insight into the old days. Well laid out with information near all the exhibits. However they could do more to make it more popular I suspect a shortage of funds could be the cause.

I have the opportunity to visit this nice place and enjoy the replica of the Pioneer village in Kissimmee that is part of Shingle Creek Regional Park. I recommend to visit for those that like to know place’s history and want to relax from parks and shopping in Orlando region.

A hidden treasure in the Kissimmee area.
Unplugged for a couple of hours and really enjoyed this day. We had a party of 3 and enjoyed the buildings, information and the staff was informative and very friendly. I recommend you read the signs in front of the buildings.
We stayed 2 hours but with a picnic easily have a day.
They have benches and tables and outside is a playing area for kids.
