“A must-do on your trip to Orlando.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

My daughter and I went on an airboat excursion when we were in Ft. Lauderdale in August 2011. It was enjoyable, but very short. Our tour with A Ultimate Airboat blew that trip out of the water. In comparison, this trip was more relaxed and informative. Any question we asked was answered. We were able to point out what we wanted to see and Captain Bill stopped for us to observe. We saw many species of birds, turtles, bald eagles, deer and alligators. Captain Bill stopped to point out different species of animals and plants along with sharing many stories of his adventures on the lake. We booked an hour long excursion and we definately got our money's worth. One note for travel, please give yourself extra time to reach your destination. Mapquest gave us a travel time of 25 minutes and it was definately another 20 minutes longer than that with traffic. Also, they ask you to arrive a half an hour earlier than your scheduled tour time. This is because your registration location on Route 192 is about 5 miles away from the actual tour location. You sign in at the Florida Visitor's Center located at the junction of Route 192 and the Florida Turnpike and they give you directions to the actual boat location. Very personal and fun. A good alternative to the parks in Orlando.

“I highly recommend this tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

Bought tickets (paid a deposit only) at a booth by Ihop near the entrance to Disney at LBV. It was recommended to us as the best of its kind by the salesman.
We drove to the office to collect and pay the balance of our tickets. It's a family run business, very friendly and helpful. They even allocated us an extra 45 minutes free of charge.
Drove from the office to the airboat mooring, a 5 minute drive.
We had a very warm welcome from Captain Bill. 5 of us on a 6 seater, plus Bill.
We had a wonderful tour. Bill is so knowledgable and has loads of patience. He stopped for us to take photos. We saw alligators, eagles, a rabbit (yes really), snakes, all sorts of birds and wildlife. He even stopped to collect large snail shells.
Bill's knowledge of the history and wildlife of the Everglades is amazing.
We were the only airboat there. We felt really spoilt.
Bill also spun the airboat around in circles really fast and we felt the spray from the Orlando Everglades over us. That was a real laugh.
The tour went on for ages and we were really sad but invigorated when it ended.
We really had our monies worth and we highly recommend this tour. Would definitely go back if we visit Orlando again.
One thing I would say is it might be worth going straight to the office to save a few pounds, as I'm sure the booth salesman made commission.
Thank you Captain Bill.

“Don't miss out on this one of a kind Florida experience...”

Sure you can spend hours in line at Universal Studios or Sea World or head over to Gatorland to bake in the hot sun with the rest of the local tourists but for a true once in a lifetime experience, you have to take this ride. It's been a couple months now since our July trip and the kids are still talking about it. Whether it was seeing the baby alligators, the birds walk along the lily pads, eating lotus beans or seeing the huge sandhill cranes take flight...they simply loved it all and I just can't put a price on an experience like that. Make sure you take in this tour with Orlando Airboats and you won't be disappointed!

“Definitely recommend this business, personal touch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012 via mobile

Like someone else who also wrote a review earlier, we were late. After reading the review, we allowed ourselves an extra three quarters of an hour to get there, but the traffic north of Orlando was slow and we lost the extra time we had allowed. When we rang ahead we were assured not to rush and to drive safe, we were more concerned about holding them up than they were! In fact they were insistent not to stress! Thankfully we we the only ones on the boat. The tour was personal, unhurried and a great experience, and we still received our full tour despite being late. Saw plenty of wildlife in the water and the air, and also enjoyed seeing how the airboat is capable of performing. The seats are tiered and there is a sunshade over the top. Our guide must have done many tours but we were made to feel like we were friends not customers.

Thank You for your kind response, We agree life is to short not to enjoy what God has created. So Why rush, although is is sometimes better to be early, for an appointment, don't jeprodise your safety.

“Loved our airboat tour!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

Captain Bill took us out on his airboat. It was small and only carried 6 people which made it especially nice. He knew where the gators were and gave us a great tour. The tour operator was also very nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend this tour.
