I arrived at the front desk of the town center and was greeted right away by the front desk agent Brandon. He was very friendly and made sure that i got a good room with the beautiful Jacuzzi. I appreciated the time and attention to detail that he took to make sure i had a great experience.

We spent a week at the Westgate Town Center in an owner's timeshare condo. It was nice, but it wasn't anything special.

I was blown away that WiFi is only free for 1 device at a time. In my opinion, the charges for using a 2nd device at the same time are steep (1 day $10, 3 days $25; 1 week $40). Seriously? I'm paying enough for the room, include it in my rate and don't nickel and dime me!

This is a pet friendly resort. I have severe pet allergies and did not have any issues in my room with my allergies, but our neighbor had a dog that barked at all times of day and night. It was very annoying and the main reason I will never stay here again. I did not enjoy being awakened at 5 a.m. by a barking dog.

It significantly lacks towel racks in the bathroom. There are no hooks right outside the shower for you to just grab your towel.

I felt the jetted tub in the bedroom was an odd location and would have preferred it be secluded from the bedroom.

It was great to have a full kitchen and be provided with coffee, tea, dishwashing soap, and laundry detergent.

Overall we had a great time, but because of the WiFi and barking dog, we will not choose to stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for one with neighbors without pets!

Thank you for your feedback. Owners do have free WiFi for the first device. If you are staying for a week, we recommend our highly discounted week rate. We're glad that you didn't have any allergy issues in your room. Guests who bring pets are expected to keep them relatively quiet and not be a nuisance. If somebody's pet is bothering another guest, we recommend alerting Security, who will then contact the guest and summon them back to their unit, where they can take care of the noise.
Regarding your jetted tub, most of our guests like that it is accessible right from the bedroom. We thank you for your suggestion.
We're pleased that you enjoyed the full kitchen in your unit. We hope you had a chance to experience our many amenities and activities. It's our wish to have another chance to exceed your expectations.

Sincerely,
David

We came for a week to celebrate my Bday. Our stay started really nice. We were welcomed at the front gate and given direction to check in. The problem began at the check in point. Nobody could answer any questions about restaurants in the area. We were simpy told to drive around and look for different restaurants. Nobody could answer any questions about internet service either-we were given big white envelope and told that everything was inside. The very next moment, another person pull envelope from my wife's hand and told us to follow him. At first we thought it was a bell service or some sort of service to show us our room, it turned out that we were simply ushered to the sales person who started to talked about timeshare presentation which we had to attend next morning at 8am. After that we were given map of the resort and left to figure out our way. The map wasnt bad so we got to our place. O, well. The place was tiny. According to Interval International info this room can accomodate up to 4 people and guarantee privacy to 2 people in each room. Do not count on that. There is no privacy at all. There is not even sound isolation - your next door neighbor takes shower you will hear it, and I do not mean next door in The same unit. You will hear people floor above you, below you, left and right. And if any of your neighbor decide to turn on jacuzzi-you will hear thunder in your unit. Do not count on clean towels or clean bed linnen either. We had to call for new sets. Nobody bother to applogize. 40minutes after we called someone knocked at the door and when we opened the door 1 minute later -clear plastic bag full of towels were on the floor in front of the door. It took a trip to the guest service and conversation with assistant manager to have clean sheets delivered to the room. And another two days to have coffee pot replaced. as of breakfast-if anyone enjoys scrambled eggs made from powder do go ahead and pay $8.95 plus tax for the breakfast at the resort. Being at Disney World makes everything look better. We had a good time in the parks and managed to find our ways around. We would definitely come back to Disney, but this was the last time ever in Westgate resorts. And its is not even a matter of being "lucky" because of the lousy cleaning service. Even the upper managment of this place seem to care less about any issues.

Thank you for your feedback. Questions about our internet service and restaurants in the area can be answered by our Concierge Desk. As a timeshare resort, we do offer every one of our guests the opportunity to learn more about the benefits and advantages of vacation ownership with us. This is not mandatory and is up to our guests whether or not they would like to attend.
Regarding clean linens and towels, our guests can simply call Housekeeping, and they would be glad to promptly bring you fresh replacements. You replacement coffee pot should have been replaced the same day-our apologies if it took two days.
Our breakfast buffet at Drafts Sports Bar & Grill includes real eggs, not made from powder whatsoever, applewood bacon, turkey sausage, several types of yogurt and cereal, biscuits and gravy, french toast, fresh seasonal fruit and much more. We take great pride in providing fresh food with great service at a good value.
We thank you for your feedback and hope to have another chance to exceed your expectations.

Sincerely,
David

Checking in at the town center with Grace Rodriguez was great. Grace was very friendly and professional she went above and beyond to satisfy our wants. This was our first time staying at the town center everything is very nice and new but to much noise. The problem with being in a lock off is the walls are thin and you can hear everything. It's like having guest in your home and you tell them to go into the bedroom and close the door. Of course the guest has a couple of screaming and crying kids constantly. I rather keep my old out dated vacation villa for more privacy.

We booked our accomodations through Interval International and were not disappointed.

We took our 9 year old for a week at Disney World and when we arrived at the Westgate, we quickly discovered that there was almost enough on the resort itself to keep us busy for a week. Lot's of activities, tennis courts pools, bicycles, activity programs for the kids, a grocery store wtih beer and wine, ice cream parlour, 14 pools, etc., etc.

We came down to go to Disney which is a whole different experience but we were throughly impressed with the Westgate, with a few glitches which can be easily avoided.

If you want a quiet stay during the day ensure that you are not given a unit overlooking a pool with activities, in particular Pool#14. Our unit overlooked this pool and during the day, it was very noisey, too noisey to enjoy sitting out there really but there were lots of other options for daytime activities too. The other issue was they clean the pools every morning at about 5:30 AM and our pool guy did not seem to be able to clean the pool wihout dropping the long aluminum pole onto the interlocking stone deck 3 or 4 times. It made a very effective alarm clock unfortunately.

Also, beware of the timeshare presentation. Although we told them we already owned and our friends who we were travelling with were not interested having just purchased a B&B, they Westgate staff insisted on giving us a tour. Fine, feel us breakfast and show us around but we told them up front we were going to hold them to their promise of 2 hours. After 2 1/2 hours we informed out "host" that we were 30 minutes over he agreed time to the tour was over and he could return us to the main office for our "gifts" now. Suddenly this very friendly young man's entire demeanour changed. Back at the main reception building called the "Town Hall", we were handed over to his "Manager" who, upon realizing we had cut the "tour" short because we were holding them to their time commitment (we had two 9 years old with us who had been very patient), became biligerent and began to try give a lesson in sales & marketing. What he did not know was that one of the members of our party is a national sales manager sales in Canada and she became furious. After a brief intervention, we left the table with the original sales guy apologising perfusely for his managers behaviour ....... what a total dog and pony show !!!!!

My advise to anyone, avoid the timeshare pitch regardless of whatever goodies they promise you. Even if they were good deals (and these were not as most went unused), it is not worth the wasting of your time and definitely no way to begin a vacation.

The rest of our time there was great (with the exception of our neighbours cooking some ungodly smelling dish every night about 11:30 PM, but you can't choose your neighbours).

As for the rest, the resort is huge, the staff was helpfull and courteous (save the timeshare people), it was clean and very well appointed and literally 5 minutes from the gates of Disney so perfect accomodation for that.

We enjoyed our stay and would go back again ..........but they can stuff their timeshare presentation thsi time though ! LOL !!

We value and appreciate your response. As a timeshare resort, we do ask our guests and owners to participate in our presentation. Participating is purely voluntary and in return of their time we do provide different incentives and gifts. Allow us to apologize about the noise you encountered during your stay. We’re thrilled that you enjoyed our resort amenities; we are a big property so we’re glad you took advantage of everything we have to offer. We felt like second class travelers at this resort. Their main thing is timeshare talks. If you are not an owner here then almost all of the activities charge a fee. If you attend a high pressure timeshare talk, you are given a VIP card that waives the fees. Non-owners pay $40.00 per week for wireless internet - - for one device only. If you bring multiple devices, the front desk said to try and buy a second device but the system did not allow it. Cell phones, tablets and PC's are carried by everyone but only one can connect. This is our second time in 12 months here and we were happier in the villas versus the high rises. We were in the 5200 building (AA building last time) and it was very noisy. The front bedroom window faces the outside hallway which is a big traffic area. My next time will be the villas - maybe. There are always units available on Interval Exchange because of the sheer size of the resort. All requests from service about the room were handled in a timely manner. Kudos to the service people. The movie theater is great for little kids. The grounds are well lite for night-time walking. All the pools were well maintained and heated. Their putt-putt course was awesome. The big question by staff was "are you an owner?" to determine whether to charge you a fee or not.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgraded room in the villas. Better parking and less noise.
