We had a party of 6 adults and two kids for our 7 day stay. The 2 bdrm 4th floor unit provided us with plenty of room and the furnishing were fine. We went to their on-site waterpark 4 of the 7 days and found it to be clean, easy to find a great spot for all of us, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very plesant area with lots of shade and sun options. Nice layout, plenty to do, and the lazy river was the best I have experienced. They did advertise their 7 day "funpass" for $59 that allowed you full access to both the waterslides and tube usage for the lazy river but we were able to work out 8 passes that cost us $50 and a 1 hour sales presentation, so it was not a bad deal. The saleslady was a hard case but backed off when my wife got up and said she had heard enough and started to walk off. The lady was coming on a little too strong on "why" we did not want to buy. After bringing her manager over to ask us one last time to buy they sent the guy to give us our tickets for the fun passes. He also tried to sell us but gave up very quickly. If you can hold fast to saying NO then the sales presentation is not bad. If you are one to waver then watch out.The "all you can eat rib dinner" they offered at one of their restaurants was a disappointment. They gave you plenty of tender but tastless ribs. We have had much better at almost everywhere else we go to. They weren't really bad, just not very good. I would recommend Orange Lake for the visitor that wanted a lot for a little cost.

Room Tip: The East Villa is close to the waterpark and was very quiet. We were able to catch their shuttle wit...

It was our first experience with a Orlando area resort, after some misunderstanding regarding the type of room we had booked I can say that it was the best vacation ever. It was me , my wife, our daughter and her husband and our grandchildren, needless to say that the girls had the best time ever, the Villa was very well equipped and the beds and bathrooms excellent. Every type of summer entertainment is there, lots of pools, water slides, a big lake, plenty of golf courses plus restaurants bars and a very helpful staff. It has a very good location too, close to all the parks in the area, I recommend this resort any time. I should also note that the people at reception are the best, after the initial misunderstanding they were very polite and helpful and I'm sure their efforts to make our stay a unique experience made all the difference.

Room Tip: Stay away from the River Island villas, too much noise.

We have been lucky enough to be time share owners here since 1993 during which time this resort has changed and grown in size. It has enough options on site for you never to need to venture out but that would be a waste as it is a superb base for the whole of the Orlando/Kissimmee area and beyond, which is certainly much more than just a "Theme Park" haven.
The accommodation/units are very good and well appointed with regular refurbishments and we believe the maintenance fees are very reasonable.
The link with IHG for points gives owners an additional dimension
It is ideally situated on the 192 with a really good road network, enabling easy access to wherever you may want to go.
Just go there

I have stayed there numerous times and is always great. Villas are clean and very spacious. Everything is close by. The resort is huge and has everything you need to have a great time. The only think I have always dislike is the timeshare side of the hotel, to check in is kind of uncomfortable cause they want you to go from one desk to another and then they call your villa daily to try again .... but overall the place is amazing!!!

Checked out of Orange Lake yesterday-most of the reviews were accurate in saying the resort is enormous & you do need shuttles or a car to get around. Yes there are $9 charges for the lazy river tubes & yes they did call my room many times to invite me to the timeshare meeting & yes the bedpillows are aweful. I expected all these things, as I have read them over & over. The other resort I considered staying at had a $24.95 resort fee as well as a $15 parking fee PER DAY. So for $7.95 a day & the 1 day I rented tubes (+ half off appetizers & drinks from 4-6 everyday) didn't sound too bad. Took couple pillows from home & unplugged my phones on day 2=problem solved. Ate breakfast in everyday, 2 lunches & 1 dinner made in a full size kitchen (stove, micro &,full fridge)in our unit-instead of being prisoner to $7 hot dogs & $4 drinks at the parks-took a cooler to parks everyday full of drinks, which you can take to pools at resort btw-just no glass. So in exchange for these few extra steps what I gained was a spacious 2 bdrm 2 BATH unit (with garden tub, 2 showers & washer/dryer) beautiful grounds, 7 sparkling pools with waterslides & a lazy river, Lots of activities, movies, arcades, watersports at Lake all at a convenient location. Everyone seemed friendly & helpful & no one bothered us. We did extend our stay by one night & they accidentally locked us out of our room. 10 min at the registration bldg. & they instantly issued new room keys & gave us a card with names/ph# if there was any problem. I was very satisfied with the resort. Our East Village 2 bdrm villa was very clean & well stocked & the resort is down the street from 2 grocery stores, an Urgent Care & dozens of restaurants/fast food (Olive Garden,Panera,Longhorn, Menches,Joes Crab Shack,Bahama Breeze, Outback,Mcdonalds, Wendys & Taco Bell to name a few)Also a 10-15 min drive to theme parks. I would gladly stay here again!

Room Tip: We enjoyed our East Village room ground floor overlooking golf course but occassional mowing at 5:30...

This is the second time we have stayed at Orange Lake. On this visit we had a 2 bed apartment in the west village. Although it was on the sixth floor we had lovely views over one of the lakes and golf course and could enjoy the disney fireworks in the distance on some evenings. The apartments are very clean and spacious and provide everything you should need, even down to the powder for the washing machine. There is also a spacious balcony with a table/chairs. We had a smooth check-in and were not hassled with any timeshare promotion. On our previous visit 2 yrs ago we decided to take advantage of the discounted play pass but had to endure a 3 hr hard sell by very pushy salesmen who would not take no for an answer. The play passes are very expensive for what they offer and I don't understand why they charge for a tube for the lazy river. I counted 7 swimming pools in total and one of these is for adults only. There are also several tennis and basketball courts which are very well maintained. What I really liked about this resort is the easy access to the theme parks, the apartments are mainly set well back from the highway and the grounds are beautifully maintained. We hope to return to Florida and will be going back to Orange Lake!

Room Tip: West Village well located for tennis courts and waters edge swimming pool complex

This is the best resort we have ever booked. It was our second visit. The accommodations were comfortable and enjoyable. Plenty to do for the kids and adults: activities, restaurants, golf, and even a waterpark. Great service. A good location too--close to many places like Walt Disney World.
