We stayed in the hotel, not the villa. But the staff was rude, unless they were part of the 5 "fun desk" calls you recieved each day. I unplugged my phone because they kept waking us up (we have a 3 year old). You don't get any room service in the hotel unless you stay for 2 weeks..you wash your own linens and everything. Plus, the place smelled since people cook in their rooms. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay with us. We appreciate hearing from all of our guests about their vacations. We are disappointed to hear that you felt your stay with us did not live up to your expectations. We are assuming by your review that you stayed in one of our studio units in the West Village Clubhouse. We pride ourselves on offering more room and more fun than a traditional hotel. You are correct that we are unlike a traditional hotel in some ways, which includes daily housekeeping. We find that many of our guests enjoy the added convenience of not needing to leave the room for housekeeping. However, housekeeping services are available every day of the week on demand from our guests. We apologize if you felt that we daily activities updates were not of value to you. You are more than welcome to request that these calls not be placed to your room from the front desk. We are disappointed that we did not have the chance to address your concerns while you were on property with us. We have attempted to contact you through private message to find out more about your specific issues. We look forward to hearing from you.

Rooms very dated with antiquated air-con and plumbing, no towel or bedding exchange during our whole stay.
Staff unhelpful when we asked for a late checkout at reception we were told to ask housekeeping, housekeeping of course told us to ask at reception, this time reception told us that there was 100% occupancy on our date of departure - checked internet and plenty of availability!
Pestered about timeshare purchase and on-site restaurants etc etc

We had a two bedroom villa in East Village. The condo was roomy, bright and clean. My only complaint was the effort to convince me to take a tour. Other than that small distraction, this resort was good. Played the Legends golf course which was very nice. We would stay there again.

Hi there and thanks for letting us know about your recent stay with us. We’re so happy to hear that your villa was the perfect place to spread out and relax. Our tours are a great way to find out about our property and ways to pend future vacations. However, we understand that time spent on vacation is important and that these tours may not be for everyone. We hope to see you back again soon.

Came here for a short stay because of a good price. The grounds were beautiful and clean. Upon check-in, staff appeared not to be trained in customer service, with many staff members standing around talking to each other, rather then helping new arrivals. Once I would not agree to their Time Share sales pitch, It was obvious they did not care if I was there or not. They charged for everything and anything they could think of. Transportation to the parks, ect. They charge a daily facility use fee, but also charge for everything you want to do, example rent a tube at the lazy River. Thought I was a paying guest , but received no room Service. I would not Think of staying here again.

The resort is an excellent location for all Orlando attractions with good pools and a beaches created around lakes with palm trees, I imagined I was on a caribbean island. There is also a time share element which you need not attend - I did not, so watch out for a sales pitch but overall it was a great vacation. There is a shuttle bus around the resort which will take you to a supermarket and adjacent restaurants. It felt very safe with all cars and persons having to check through a gate with security. I was undecided whether to rate it excellent but it really is very good as long as you are forceful about not going to the timeshare presentation. I am going there again soon, in fact I have booked two future stays.

Room Tip: There are villas which we will be visiting next time, we stayed in a hotel type block near the lake...

We booked here expecting the worst. I've had a bad timeshare experience before and I read a few horror stories regarding the pushy salespeople. However, our experience was a good one. Although the timeshare presentation ran longer than anticipated, the salespeople were nice and not overly pushy. They did try and present every option available, which meant every time we declined, another offer was presented until all options were exhausted. But they actually have a pretty decent product and considering we got a nice, clean, 2 bedroom condo for 4 nights for $199 (total) it was completely worth it.

The resort itself is very nice and the condos were cleaner and nicer than expected. Only one drawback (and it was a minor one since we didn't spend much time outside), we were in the East Village and there was a stench coming from somewhere (presumably the Animal Kingdom) at night...and vultures were everywhere during the day. But again, very minor and not worth knocking it down a rating. If you get a chance to stay here, especially at a portion of the cost of a Disney resort, I'd recommend it.

Room Tip: I'd choose the West Village to avoid the smells of the Animal Kingdom. But the condo we stayed i...

This property has potential, but we failed to find it! The pool area in the "River Island" area was great. The golf courses look very nice. The place is HUGE - really a bit too big for us. We stayed at the Orange Lake and did the "timeshare" presentation. What amazes me MOST about this 3 night getaway was that the rooms that they showed us in the "timeshare" tour are beautiful. Had we stayed in one of those rooms, we would have given this resort top reviews, but unfortunately, we did not! The room we stayed in was in the North Village and it was VERY dated. We can handle dated, but the ants in our kids bed were a little much for us! When we tried to move the kids to the sofa bed, we pulled it out to find the mattress covered in stains - and this was after disposing of the dead cockroach. At this point, we called for a new room - at 10pm. They put us into a room identical to the room we just left, just in another building. On a plus side to this room - the ants were contained to the kitchen - none in the kids beds! The elevator was very scary looking - just old and dirty with paint peeling off the walls. Our entire stay there just felt dirty. I would go back, but I would request a room in the River Island area part of the resort - my husband says that he will NEVER go back there - and I have to be honest, if I could not get a room in the River Island part of the resort, I would not go back there either! I can handled dated, but I can't handle dirty.

Room Tip: If you have kids, request the River Island area!
