“Didn't Even Stay”

We got here at 1:00 at night.
Excited to stay, most of family was sleeping in the car.
When we got to the hotel, the spanish clerk said that he canceled the reservation because we didn't pay in cash and because we didn't get to the hotel at 4:00, he thought that we weren't going to show and canceled our reservation and didn't even bother to tell us about it! Then, we called the people who booked the hotel for us and they said that the hotel people aren't allowed to do that. Later, while trying to figure out why the clerk did that, he called the police. Then, while looking for a hotel in the red roof parking lot, he told the police to kick us out of the parking lot.

I wanted to rate it 0 for service, but i wanted you all to know.
The only good part was location.

Dear Guest,

We hold rooms as a courtesy for our guests without a credit card till 4 pm, if guest wants to confirm and guarantee a room they can provide us with a valid credit card and we will hold the room for entire night. Your reservation was cancelled at 11 pm and we didnt hear from you that you will be arriving late, authorities were called due to a member of your party became verbally aggressive towards our staff member.

I suggest that you make reservations direct with hotel. However, I apologize for the inconvenience that you faced and hope that you will allow us the opportunity to serve you in future.

We decided that since our last stay was enjoyable, we invited the grandchildren. They had had a blast! When we arrived the manager, Dimitri remember us immediately from our last stay. We wanted to take the grandchildren to Disney. They had a desk in front that sold tickets at a discounted price. Sylvia was extremely helpfull and saved us a lot of money. We will be back!

I had to stay here for a couple of weeks during renovations and this place is excellent. The rooms were very clean, no bugs and with hard parquet flooring. They are pet friendly which is very helpful. The rooms were very affordable. The best aspect though was the staff. Dmitri, Yanna, Lindsey and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to make my stay comfortable. They were very accommodating, polite and, to bd honest, the only other time I've encountered service this good was at Disney. They went above and beyond and made a difficult time very pleasant. Thank you!!!

I stayed here last year and it's hard to believe a hotel can go downhill so fast. I booked 2 rooms in my name and they weren't even close. There were 4 towels for 8 people and no extras to be had. The rooms smelled. My daughters room had carpet that she refused to walk on barefoot. It was "slimy" and worn. The tubs also had a huge step to get in and out. My granddaughter fell trying to get a shower. The bright spot is that it looked the the hotel may be getting a makeover. The breakfast also was nice with all of the food being fresh. .

We apologize that we were not able to get your rooms close enough for your satisfaction. As you have noted that we are in middle of renovations and will be finished with renovations before the end of the year.

Renovations include new wood vinyl flooring in rooms, new bedding package, new paint in rooms, new beds, exterior paint on building and more.

Great value for the money and staff were more than happy to help us sort out any problems. Happy with the room and very quiet location but very close to outlet shopping and disneyworld Thank you so much.

The staff is great. The pool and hot tub are great. The rooms are dated, but I was told some have been redone. Wifi was good and free. They charged us nothing extra for our dog. We skipped the free breakfast, but did get a good night's sleep. Thank you Dimitri, Jay, and Lindsey!

We live close enough to drive here in a day, but needed a late check-in, which was no problem for the hotel. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds, which was supposed to come with a microwave and fridge, when we went to the room it was not there. This was a problem as the food in the cooler from our day trip from Atlanta was barely on ice. We called the front desk and the guy said there was nothing he could do, since they were sold out. So, it looked like it was going to be trips to the ice machine to refill the cooler.

On the way to get ice, we ran into a maintenance guy moving an air conditioner after 11 PM. He asked if we needed any help and I told him about the fridge issue and he asked our room number and said to let him see what he could do, and he would let us know either way. About 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door and there he stood with a fridge and microwave and some additional towels (there were only 2 towels and one washcloth in the room for 4 people). The maintenance man, Jay apologized for the inconvenience and quickly setup the appliances, before he left, he asked if there was anything else he could do to help us and wished us a good vacation. Wow, what good customer service from the maintenance man, and at almost midnight he was off to get back to installing the air conditioner.

The next day we started our vacation able to get cold drinks out of our fridge to take to Disney. The rest of the hotel visit was uneventful, it was an average room at a good priced hotel that has easy access up Hwy 535 to I4 for Universal and very close access to Disney if you go in on Hotel Plaza Blvd by Downtown Disney. The kids did enjoy the pool twice at night after we returned from Universal.

The Hotel was average, the location was great, and the above and beyond personal service from maintenance made us feel welcome and appreciated, like he really cared that our stay was a comfortable one. Thanks Jay, for making us feel important, it meant alot after a long road trip with two cranky kids. So, we will give Red Roof a 4 for good location and good customer service.

Room Tip: The room next to ours looked brand new, with hardwood and fresh paint. Wish we would have had one of...
