We first saw this show 9 years ago prior to our youngest son (now 8) being born. My wife has ridden horses competitively for most of her life so the interest in a show like this comes easy. I read about a dozen of the reviews and was a bit taken aback by those who were not happy with the experience and apparently were not understanding what they were going to see and what they would be offered. We thoroughly enjoyed the show (got the VIP package) and visiting the stables while also meeting several of the performers. Many of them stayed around after the show to talk to the audience, and allow folks to pat the horses etc. The VIP package is only a little more $'s and a great value. The only reason I took off a 'star' is that indeed, the food is substandard but really....you're paying about $10-15 for the food. The chicken itself was good, as were the rolls - the pasta/sauce was funky. Chocolate cake was yummy...vanilla cake had a chemical after taste. And yes...beer was expensive. You could have all the soda/water you wanted and the waiters were pleasant and attentive - not an easy task in that environment. I think they should just stop the 'dinner' part altogether and perhaps sell snacks. If you want spic'n span, brand new facilities - go to LegoLand. If you want to see some pretty incredible performances by beautiful horses, riders and performers - it's worth the cost (and buy online for a 25% discount).
