“A Foodie's Delight”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

We visited for dinner on May 26th because of the restaurant's top rating in Trip Advisor. I started off with the Samba Salad (Mixed Greens, Mango, Avocado & Mango Balsamic Vinaigrette). My girlfriend had the Spinach Salad (Baby Spinach, Strawberries, Blue Cheese, Spiced Pecans Red onion & Raspberry Vinaigrette). For our entree, I had the Cuban Pork Chop with Sweet Plantain Crema, Black Beans , Saffron Rice & Seasonal Vegetables. My girlfriend had the grouper, which Cheryl, our server, said has won several awards. The grouper was in a light Panco Crust and was served with Crispy Leeks, Tropical Coulis, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and the Seasonal Vegetables. For dessert, we each had the key lime pie which is beyond description. We each had a unsweet herbal tea as our beverage. In many restaurants, one or two items stand out as excellent. In this restaurant, everything we ordered was excellent! The atmosphere is very relaxing and very "Keys." Diners can eat in the dining room with cathedral ceilings and large cloth ceiling fans or dine on the wrap-around porch in a tropical garden setting. The service that Cheryl provided was also excellent. She thoroughly explained the menu, made appropriate suggestions and paced the meal to our preference. Both she and the receptionist were very welcoming. The dinner for two as described was about $120 before gratuity. This restaurant is on the more expensive side - but well worth it if you appreciate fine dining. It is clear to see why this is the Number 1 rated Marathon restaurant in Trip Advisor.

“Tropical Fine dining excellence!”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

Fine dining at its best! Although we were staying at another resort, we were highly recommended to visit this fine dining establishment for dinner. What a delight! From the charming decor to our fabulous server Cheryl we enjoyed one of the best dinners that we had during our visit in the Keys. Highly recommend reservations in advance. Enjoyed the best grouper & scallop dinner ever! The presentation & portions are lovely & large. We were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday & they presented a delicious Key lime pie that was the best ever. Wine list is reasonable. Recommend dining on the porch under the stars. As foodies, I cannot express how wonderful this restaurant & its service is. Looking forward to returning back to this tropical delight!

“Very nice meals”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

My husband and I split a salad and an entree each night. Nice portions, complex flavors and excellent service. At expected high resort prices. And all within walking distance of our unit in Tranquility Bay. Would recommend. We went at 8:30 each night, so very few kids were there at that time.

“Second Time, Still Excellent”
Reviewed May 26, 2014

Our party of three had an excellent meal. The service was slow at first, but once they realized we were ready, the rest of the evening flowed wonderfully.

We started with the warm goat cheese. It was a delicious little ball of yum with a side of robustly flavored cherries. Nice combination. All three of us ordered a fish entree and raved about our choices. My panko crusted grouper was at the top of my 'best fish' list. Delightful flavor and perfectly prepared.

My daughter had the raspberry sorbet and said it was very good. The wine list is adequate.

Would return again if in Marathon in the future.

“Still wonderful!”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

We returned here after a hiatus & were just delighted to see that it is still as terrific as we'd remembered it. Once again Cheryl took fantastic care of us. She even remembered what we like to drink & eat!
Don't miss this delightful restaurant when you're in the Florida Keys.
