The location, amenities, rooms and porches are wonderful as is their restaurant. Lots to see and places to eat nearby. All in all a great place for adults and children alike with two wonderful pools and beach with activity service and bar restaurant.

Room Tip: beach view rooms and poll facing rooms are super!!!!!!!!!!!

Great facilities but overpriced. Terrible service. Maids don't clean rooms until 5:00 pm on occasion. One day, they took towels but didn't replace them. When reported to front desk, I was told someone would bring towels. They never came. When reporting this at checkout, I was told a manager would call. I never got the call. At check-in, no assistance or suggestions on getting luggage to my room some 200 yards from parking. Maids sit in chairs behind a dumpster in the staff parking lot. Poorly managed indifferent service!

It would have been the perfect trip if we could have stayed longer ( had to cut short for work). Beautiful resort but small and low key (no forced family fun ) great time lounging at beach and poolside. Easy access to all the water sports we wanted (stand up paddle board jet ski sailing and kayak at resort, snorkeling near by). Rooms with upstairs and down stairs decks with gorgeous views. Very comfortable beds and ample kitchen. Will definitely be back

This hotel is beautiful. The property is very well kept and each guest stays in there own townhouse which has a living area and well appointed kitchen downstairs with bedrooms and beautiful balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean upstairs. Everything in this hotel is very new and clean and he staff are great. Highly recommend

My husband and I love this place. We were here two years ago and it is even better than before if that is possible. We stayed in a two bedroom unit which was spacious and located steps from the serenity pool and tiki bar and sandy beach. Even though the units on either side of us were occupied we never heard the other guests. We had all the conveniences of home including a washer and dryer. The on site restaurant was great and the place is an easy walk to other restaurants as well. In our opinion nothing else in Marathon comes close to comparing to the beauty and amenities of this property. We can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Areas close to the beach are especially serene.

Typically photos posted on the internet fall short of reality, no so here. My wife and I and our 9 and 11 year old had a fantastic stay in our spacious 2 bedroom ocean view 'condo'. We found the entire facility very clean, beds and linens were extremely comfortable, and quiet. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. Our check in was quick and painless. We ate at the restaurant on site and found the food, decor, ambiance, although a bit pricey, excellent. The pool, advertised as the largest in the Florida Keys, was very clean and great for families with is unusual shape, gave privacy. The area does experience an abundance of floating sea weed, which the resort was working on removing. The seaweed filled in the beach area and did give off an unpleasant odour in some parts of the resort near the beach. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the beach volleyball, but were a bit young for the water-sports available, which were plenty, and modern. The resort is just off the highway (low speed), as are most of the resorts in the Florida Keys. We however did not hear any road noise from our unit. The resort is landscaped in a way that you feel secluded and private from the rest of the world, despite immediate neighbours. Our kids really enjoyed the off-shore fishing, which can be set up at the front desk. It took us about 3 hours driving from Miami (traffic was horrible near Miami) and about 2 hours driving back with little traffic. The only issue we had was the connectivity and slow Wi-FI on site, and the out dated TV's and their poor picture quality. Overall, I would recommend this resort for anyone who wants the experience of a small resort feel, with all the amenities of home. Loved the peace and quiet of the beach and never having to fight for beach chairs near the pool or space at the beach.

Room Tip: Avoid staying in the Northern units near the beach or North cove, which fill in with seaweed and giv...

Great place, and surprisingly quiet around the pool areas and tiki bar. Loved it - what a great and beautiful place. Definitely not cheap but you get what you pay for on well manicured quiet grounds. There really isn't much staff, you are on your own, which was fine by us. No bellhops, you carry your own bags (or borrow their cart) but nothing is a long walk so don't sweat it. No poolside service so it stays quiet in the pool areas. Not a huge issue, walk a short way to tiki hut to get great food and drinks. The views of the water are great, but the pool is a better option due to the seaweed that floats in. They have crews there often moving it and cleaning it up but you're better off in the pools or the lagoon to the far right of the property. The lagoon was always empty but we loved swimming in it. Enjoy the iguanas that stop by the pool often and don't get freaked out by a few cats on the property. They are there to keep the iguana population in line.
The rooms themselves are little villas. Brand new modern kitchens, huge living room etc. The bedrooms are upstairs, which I missed in the pics. No big deal but would have been a problem if we had some grandparents with us. Rooms are small but functional and you have 2.5 bathrooms in the 3 bedroom villas.
You can save a lot of money with the gorgeous kitchen so you can shop at the supermarket and stock up. We ate breakfast in the room every day and attempted to eat lunch but mostly wound up at the tiki hut drinking blueberry mojitos. At first I mocked my wife but once I tried one it was pretty damn good.
All in all a gorgeous place, nice and quiet (but very kid friendly), if you like the scenery you can't go wrong here.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 45 and then moved to room 83 on the lagoon. Highly recommend the 2nd room, a 3 bed...
