We took a 9 a.m. Tour with Liz. She was such a great tour guide and shared so many details about the turtles. We also learned a lot about turtle safety and rehab. Our boys ended up adopting Rebel who will not be released into the wild because of his injuries. We're so glad we got a great tour!

Turtles and their history in the Keys is very unique. Its amazing the work that they do at the hospital. God bless them for caring so much. You get to experience the turtles first hand when they take you to the area where the turtles that are convalescing

Our group was smaller ( 6 people) at the 9am tour, so the experience felt very personalized. Our educator offered great insight on the turtles in the hospital and lent much insight on how we can make changes to keep sea turtles from becoming injured in the future.

It was really interesting to see each turtle, hear their story and learn how they are making moves to help them.

It was slow paced and we did not feel rushed at all. Yes, there was an "information session" but it was needed so you are able to gain an understanding of how and why turtles end up in the hospital. Only then can you really understand what you are seeing when you do enter the turtle housing area. The entire tour lasted about 90 min.

My father, husband & I really enjoyed our experience at The Turtle Hospital!! Our visit started with a video and explanation of rescuing, rehabilitation and release of the turtles. This was followed by a look at the operating room & pools where the turtles are kept until they can be released. I was impressed by the care given at the hospital--right down to the staff naming the turtles! Been to Marathon several times, so I was glad to finally get to The Turtle Hospital. Reservations are required.

My children enjoyed the educational experience and we got to see a turtle in the operating room having a fish hook removed from it's throat.
