“Great place to ride bikes or take pics”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

We go here every year with my family. We take the kids and ride bikes for about a mile and turn around. It is very windy to plan for that. But its a great view and something fun to do with the family for a few hours.

“Stop and walk on the Old Seven Mile Bridge”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

It is a beautiful drive across the Seven Mile Bride, but even more beautiful to walk on the old bridge right next to it. Leaving Marathon and heading to Key West, there is a parking lot on the right just before the bridge. You can walk out two miles if you want, or ride bikes out the bridge. Walking is best because you can take time to look into the water below you to see turtles, rays, sharks, and sometimes large schools of tarpon. Fishing boats zip under the bridge too. We almost always see the rays at about the mile-and-a-half mark on the gulf side. The surface of the bridge is a bit rough and it is no longer maintained, so watch your step. I tripped on one of the bumps and hit the bridge face first a few years ago. Many folks just walk out a short distance and take pictures; you don't have to walk four miles to enjoy the beautiful water or a fantastic sunset.

“A thrilling bicycle ride”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

My husband and most of his bicycle group rode across the bridge. I followed by car and this certainly is an exciting and beautiful ride.

“It's a 7 mile bridge!”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

It does what it says, it's a bridge that links the islands. What is interesting is looking at the old bridge that is now rusting away. Interesting and if you are going to Key West by car, it's the only way to travel!
