“A Must See!”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

You need to visit and walk this bridge while you are in Marathon, not just for the incredible history here, but the more incredible beauty. If you walk this bridge the 2.2 miles out to Pigeon Key, you will get a glimpse of wildlife you may not get a chance to see anywhere esle, due to the fact that you are up in the air looking down into the water.......Tarpon, Sea Turtles, Stingrays, Spotted Eagle Rays, Sharks, etc. And the sunset from there, no matter what time of the year is SPECTACULAR......the perfect photo opportunity will be found on the "OLD SEVEN"

Stop and donate to the restoration of the pedestrian / walking bridge. It is a great walk and scenic overlook.

“If you walk for fitness, there's no better view”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

My husband and I don't necessarily "like" to walk but we know we need to. It helps to have the gorgeous view of the water while we do. Beautiful first thing in the morning and usually a nice breeze on the way back. Today we watched a shark in the water and there are usually people fishing within site. We walk along a river at home but this bridge is a gem. We love it.

“A great four mile walk”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

What a jewel. On our four mile walk on the bridge we saw two turtles, dolphins, and sharks. We were sad to hear that the state might close the bridge to walkers. We donated some money to a group on the bridge that is trying to save it!!!

“Rent a bike”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

I rented a bike and followed the paths. What a pleasant surprise to have a paved bike path all the way to the bridge. Very nice! Easy ride. Beautiful scenery.
