“Fresh fish”
Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

Ordered take out fish salads which were perfect! We love to cook so we went back for fresh yellow tail at the market. Go early as the daily catches sell out. Fresh off the boats. A real gem. Personable owners too.

“Good but not great”
Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Friendly service when we walked in. The establishment was very clean. Small selection of beer and wine available with your meal. We had the lobster salad sandwich which had a fair amount of lobster with fresh spinach and grilled cheese. The bread was a bit over done with oil/butter and I really expected a roll instead of rye bread. The side of black bean salad was very good with fresh herbs. The portion of the sides were fairly small. At the fish counter were a few fresh oysters, stone crab laws and tuna. Not a great selection for being called a seafood market. With all thr fresh seafood in the keys, I don't think they have reached their potential yet. Keep trying.

“Fresh, fresh, fresh”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Owned and operated by local Marathon residents, they get their fish right off the boats. The menu is varied, offering mojo pork, burgers and sandwiches in addition to a wide range of seafood dishes. The seafood baskets come with a choice of fish, fries and a side. The black bean salad is yummy, the seasoned fries spicy, and presented nicely. Have also had their calamari...wow! Served with a spicy roummalad (sp?) dip, garnished with mild pepper rings and mixed field green, I can't say I have had better. Their fish chowder is also very good. My husband swears their sea scallops are the best he has ever been served in a restaurant. Cute, clean place with friendly service. Only thing missing is a water view.

“Unassuming frontage but good food”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We stopped here in desperation while searching for another restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. On entering we thought it was just a shop but were pleased to know that they also cooked to order the fish which was on display. The waitress was enthusiastic and very helpful, the display of fish was appealing and very tasty when it came. We sat outside at picnic tables and this area could be improved with some planting or screening to muffle the traffic noises the main highway nearby. Would definitely ecommend.

We stopped here on the way down to Key West and the way back to Miami. It was wonderful fresh seafood with a friendly staff and great prices. We can't wait to go back.
