Living in Chicagoland, I am pretty familiar with Chicago dogs. This spot comes close with a couple of adjustments necessary to call it a true Chicago dogand earn an excellent rating. Missing? The poppy seed bun, a jumbo Vienna dog ... not just a small hot dog. Got the relishes correct, including the pickle and peppers, but no sauerkraut. The fries were hot and tasty. Ordered beef sandwiches for later. The buns were very good and enjoyed the pepperoncini and au jus. No cheese, but didn't ask for it, so don't know if it is available upon asking. Thought the beef could have had a bit more flavor, but we ate them much later in the evening, so don't know if flavor would have been there had we eaten them immediately. Lots of Chicago sports memorabilia on the walls, and the lady taking the order was very friendly. It's worth a stop, if you are craving the flavor of a Chicago dog.
