“A lot of fish!”

The water is really clear and it's only a 30 minutes drive to the place where we snorkeling. The have all the equipments and the crew is really nice and friendly. You can see many kinds of fish there. The price is not really high. My friend and I went to Clearwater snorkeling the other day and it's 45 one person here only 25. It's definitely worth it.

“Good value for first snorkeling experience”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We recently went snorkeling - good trip if you have never snorkeled. Having been snorkeling in Puerto Rico, we were disappointed in this experience. Large group, limited to about a 50 yard area to snorkel in. Not guided where you would see a lot (like we had experienced before). Basically anchored at a spot and told to hop off and look around. Female crew were very nice and friendly. Good value for a first, basic experience.

“Great snorkeling in Marathon!”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

We really enjoyed our experience with Starfish Snorkeling, but have a few key pointers for optimizing your experience! Overall, the reef was beautiful and the snorkeling was great. The waters were clear and relatively calm, though it's not as calm as the waters in the Caribbean, if you've snorkeled there. There is a bit more of a current and small waves, but beautiful, beautiful fish and reef to be seen!

One recommendation I have for you is to PAY IN CASH. They do not tell you when you make your reservation or when you pay, but they charge $3 more PER PERSON for credit card transactions. That's right... if you're going with a family of 5, you pay $15 for no reason, whatsoever, even though credit card companies only charge them between 2-3% more for these transactions. They are capitalizing on your payment option, and that is not right. Easy way to avoid this though - pay with cash.

Another recommendation I have, is to go ahead and take your anti-nausea medication. The waters were calm the day we were out, but the boat ride (and sitting on the boat between snorkeling) was a bit rocky. Though it's a catamaran, it does rock with the waves and several people on our trip weren't feeling so hot by the end of the tour (which is 3 hours). We take the less-drowsy Dramamine and aren't too groggy or sleepy to enjoy ourselves, and it really made all of the difference.

Other than that, the captain and first mate (two blonde girls, cannot remember their names, but were mentioned in other reviews) were excellent. They were very attentive and explained the equipment and directions well. They were a pleasure!

We would certainly snorkel with Starfish again and had a great experience!!!

If you're looking to go snorkeling to the lighthouse this is prefect. We went on a cloudy breezy day so it was a rough 30 min ride to the reef. Upon entering the boat they seat you to even the weight out, and the crew got annoyed when I requested that my 73 year old father and mother in law sit on one of the few seats with a back and the rail to hold onto. We were the first to board the boat and they should have some common sense on where to seat an elderly person. After the attitude she did allow them to sit there. For a crew that asks for gratuity they should be more patient, understanding, and friendly. It's a good thing snorkeling was great, considering the weather conditions. Hopefully the crew will improve on customer service.
