Nice, centrally located nature center across from KMart in Marathon. Nice getaway for a little quiet time. Good for families.

Didn't think it would be as interesting as it was. There are lots of trails so you can see mangroves, waterfront, a quirky house built in the 50's, a wild bird hospital, lots to see. Highly recommend...in Jan. Might be awfully buggy in the warmer months.

This was a nice walk that the whole family enjoyed. Very serene setting that make you feel liike you are in the wild.

When you first get in, the map will not help you. There are several paths not on the map. The cracker house was very disappointing as there were not animals there (as we had been promised) other than bees making honey. The path out to the house is not a very nice one, it is nice to be covered in trees, but they need to clean up the trash and maybe put in some boardwalk where the ground is mushy. The Adderly house was not very impressive, but it was ok. The crane house was kinda junky although they are remodeling it now. The wild bird center was the best part about Crane Point. They have several birds (peregrine falcon, osprey, owls, several cormorants and pelicans, and more) with natural things growing in their cages which adds a nice touch and make me feel better for them. The walk back on the road is much nicer than the walk out (not so mushy). The museum was ok, but a little small and crowded. This could be a really nice place with some more TLC along the path. As it is now, I'm not sure it's worth the money.

We shared a nice relaxing walk through Craine Point during a recent trip to the Keys. Craine Point has a small museum and about a 2 mile nature path that leads back through the mangroves to the point overlooking the water. Along the way you pass an old homestead that gives you some history of the area. Also on the grounds is a wild bird rescue center. The rescue center is small but will give you a look at a few native birds. This was a nice break from the crowds and a good time to slow down and enjoy the day. I can see the area would be buggy during certain times of the year so beware.
