We've slept in a lot of motels up and down the Keys -- and this one is our favorite. Most of the older motels in this price range are small, run down, and right next to the highway; so they are cramped, have issues, and are noisy. The Seascape, on the other hand, has large rooms, is CLEAN and well-maintained, and is OFF the highway -- and ON the water! So it's quiet and laid back -- perfect for the true Keys experience. Jay is great, and his Labrador, Bob Marley, welcomes every guest. If you have a boat, you just gotta stay here. There's a launch ramp and docks right there!

Seascape is in a very quiet location. It is reasonably priced, clean and spacious. Nothing fancy about it . Very Very basic. Infact the pictures on tripadvisor are too good and can be misleading. The guy who runs it is friendly and very laid back. It is okay to spend a night or two here. I would certainly go back and also recommend it to friends.

We stayed at the Seascape for a few days in April because we found the reasonable cost appealing. It is a quaint, local motel, a bit out dated but clean. The owner was accommodating and quite helpful. The swimming pool is a good size and we had it all to ourselves, although a bit chilly for swimming in April. What we enjoyed was sitting at the end of the dock… a bottle of wine in the evening and taking the coffee out with us in the morning. Very relaxing.

Our room did have a microwave, fridge and a coffee maker, but you will need to bring your own coffee, filters, etc. This is not a chain hotel with all the services. We packed appropriately so we were prepared. If you don’t have them, there are lots of places to pick up what you need. We were able to get ice from the freezer outside by the office so we really had all we needed and at a reasonable price compared. The new Holiday Inn in the area was $60-$80 more per night. We put the savings towards a convertible rental car!

The resort was from old days, quiet and peaceful. Boat dock and ramp were all modern. Meeting Bob Marley and Jay were like meeting up with old friends. Wish we had brought our Bubba, he would have fit right in. They made our vacation great. Thanks Jay for all you do! Jerry & Tina say hi and see u next year.

I did quite a bit of research before deciding on Seascape, mostly here on Trip Advisor. I can say the the rave reviews were well deserved. It was not a shiny new resort but it had the old keys charm that I remember as a kid when my Grandfather had a hotel there. It was very clean, quiet and more than sufficient. Bob Marley (the black lab) greeted us when we arrived, as did the owner, Jay. I will tell you this, if Jay makes a recommendation as to boat rentals, restaurants, etc. LISTEN TO HIM! He definitely led us to the right places! Some of the best seafood anywhere is in close proximity to the resort, including one with $1.25 Stone Crab Claws!!! I proposed while we were there (she said yes!) and Jay helped me set it up. He even showed me a private island where I did it. If you are looking for a modern 5 star resort with all the amenities, this is not for you. If you are looking for a clean, friendly place with old keys charm, than by all means don't pass this place up. We will DEFINATELY return! There is a nice pool overlooking the ocean and a quiet point with a hammock under some nice shade trees right on the water. You can dock your boat right at the resort and enjoy a picnic or quiet bottle of wine at the table and chairs provided right on the docks. I can't say enough about the warm hospitality of the owner. He treated us more like out-of-town family than hotel guests.

The Seascape is in a great location just off US-1, very close to the airport for convience. It is in a quiet, relaxing location on the Atlantic Ocean. It is a ran by Jay, a great guy, who is always willing to help, if you need anything. This is a clean, older style motel, so if you want frills, this isn't the place for you. I read the reviews before I came, so I knew what to expect. It is affordable. An excellent choice if you want to kick back and relax. Seascape is close to Sombrero Beach which is amazing as well.

Vacation Goal: See the dolphins, swimming, fishing and capture memorable family moments. If you are reading this and have the same goal then stay at seascape!

Seascape is in a quiet location, reasonably priced, comfortable spacious clean rooms, fire pit at night, outdoor grill for cooking, clean pool, and docks to fish off from. You will find that Jay and his dog companion Bob Marley “genuinely” care in making sure you are having a “relaxing” time and available for any assistance you need.

Thanks to Jay in helping us forget what day it was and making us feel that seascape was a welcoming, comfortable, safe and relaxing home away from home. Love those coconuts trees!
