My husband and I have stayed at the Cheeca Lodge several years ago and had a great experience, so when deciding what to do for his 55th b-day, Cheeca came to mind! My husband is an avid fisherman and the Keys is the place to go for a great fishing experience! The lodge itself is beautiful along with the restaurants, pool areas, and beach. The rooms are lovely, everything is top notch! They even sent a lovely surprise to our room for my husbands birthday, which was a nice touch!
The only thing that you need to be prepared for is that they charge you a $30.00 resort fee daily!
I found this to be over the top due to the fact that room rates are not cheap and food and drinks are very expensive. Be prepared to spend allot more than you may have expected!

- The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Along with a new breakfast bistro and lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Nikai Sushi Bar and Lounge offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; Atlantic’s Edge with a seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce; and its family-friendly Limoncello Italian restaurant serving up Tuscan favorites in a casually rustic setting. Cheeca Lodge & Spa features 2,400 square-feet of retail shops with a Cheeca Signature store featuring the latest designer fashions and accessories. An expanded roster of activities include offshore and backcountry fishing, parasailing, sightseeing, eco-tours, paddleboards, water trikes, kayaks, golf, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard and more.
