This museum exceeded my expectations, because of the organization of the artifacts and information about the artifacts. I learned a great deal about the history of diving, which goes back 5,000 years! This is a must-see for all ages.

Thanks for the great review Patti! It is crazy to think how long people have been trying to explore under the sea.

We enjoyed the museum and both my daughter's loved the scavenger hunt. We all had fun looking for the little diver guy throughout the museum. It was a lot more than i expected and very interesting.

Those little divers can be very sneaky! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed the Museum. The scavenger get switched up every so often, so you will have to come back again!

The name doesn't sound like much, but inside is a lovingly curated selection from the history of diving. The ingenuity of the pioneers, and their courage to venture into the unknown, is amazing. Lots of curious items to see.

And still very interesting for non-divers. It isn't the Nation Air & Space Museum but it is an interesting trip through the early attempts at getting underwater and staying there for a while and into the future. I know. My brother and I tried it as kids!

The most fascinating part of the museum were the extreme deep-diving suits that way exceed what astronauts wore in space or on the moon!

The people there are very friendly and they have a nice gift shop. I want that polished brass & copper divers helmet! Now THAT would be a souvenir to talk about!

That would be really amazing if we could be as large and extensive as the National Air and Space Museum! (I'll keep my fingers crossed for one day) It's great to hear that you enjoyed the Museum and you are more than welcome to inquire about helmets for sale in the Museum Store next time!

The wife and I decided to stop here on a whim. We both dive and since a storm canceled our diving hopes on this vacation, we decided that this should suffice. We are both glad we stopped in. The museum was informative and had plenty of exhibits. The dive helmets from each nation was impressive. The gift shop was pretty nice. The employees were pleasant and welcoming. Some of the negative reviews were from people not interested in diving...not sure why they would go to a museum dedicated to it.

We are sorry you had to cancel your dive trip due to the poor weather, but are happy you were able to enjoy the Museum! Hopefully the two of you will be able to come back to the Keys and get to dive soon,
