We stopped at Conch on Inn after 3 nights in Key West and our expectations were not high (because of the price). But, it was a surprising value but more importantly to us there is a feeling that you're at home. Owners Cindy and Mike made us feel welcome from the first moment of our arrival with restaurant recommendations, etc. But, hanging out on the canal deck relaxing was one of the highlights of our trip to the Keys. Every time a guest came in from dinner Cindy greeted with a "Welcome Home!" shout out from the deck. They are in the process of renovating, but there was no noise or anything disturbing during our stay. So, if you don't mind a little work-in-progress then you will definitely enjoy your stay. We plan on returning to Conch on Inn next spring and would highly recommend this quaint little slice of paradise to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the unrenovated rooms and it was clean, cutely decorated, and just fine for us b...

We spent a week in the Keys at the Conch On Inn. The new owners have only had the hotel since June, and are doing a complete overhaul. Our room was clean.....which is a must for me. The staff was very friendly, and the owners, Mike and Cindy made us feel very welcome. They are the ones that truly make the place. If you are traveling with pets, this is definitely the place for you. There were also manatee in the canal right off the patio!

We stayed 2 nights -- had never been to Islamorada -- only Key West. The owners (new since summer, 2013) were very nice -- Mike and Cindy, and a wealth of useful information. Our room had not yet been renovated -- and a bit on the "rough" side, but had all the necessary amenities and has potential once all their renovation efforts are complete. The room was small (probably 12x15 plus bathroom), but room enough for my husband and I and our dog. They are very pet friendly and our dog loved his stay! The room was clean, as were the appliances (small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker). They also have free wi-fi in all the rooms. Very good choice for a pet friendly, budget motel in the area.

We were going to Key West over the President's Day weekend and needed a motel close to South Florida. It's 4 hours to drive from our home. We were able to book a room in Islamorada, after calling for an hour a week before the holiday, feeling very lucky to find a room. We were pleasantly surprised. Mike and Cindy, the proprietors, had just bought this small, laid back, keys motel and were in the process of renovating it. We ended in Room 8, very large, clean, quiet, and away from the highway - it certainly exceeded our expectations. This is a pet friendly motel - we petted their dogs and cats. It made a "purrfect" ending to a long day. The next morning after in room coffee we saw manatees in the canal - a great surprise. We will be going back and staying longer.

Room Tip: rooms away from main road - daytime road noise

This is a tiny, cute place with lots of character and the most hospitable owners I have ever met! We were checked in by Mike who gave us a ton of information on great places to check out for both dining and fun. We were also greeted by Cindy, Mike's wife, and their three dogs (Riley, Bella, and Annie) who were all sweet and help with our "missing our dogs" syndrome. Mike and Cindy invited us to join them out for happy hour and that on one of the nights that we were there, they built a fire on the deck and we all, as well as other guests, sat around it and visited. We had an affordable and fantastic experience here! Thanks again!

We stayed Feb 7th and 8th and had a blast. The owners are pet friendly and have three pups that may as well be kids. Mike and Cindy make you feel at home and love to sit out on the deck and talk. They are remodeling the whole facility and it looks great. Never been to a mom and pop motel and felt so welcomed.....you can't beat the price or the rooms so go ahead and "Conch on Inn".......Jim and Mary Jacobs

Room Tip: Book early the word is out and they sell out quick

We really enjoyed our stay here! Owners Mike and Cindy are in the process of remodeling....this place is a diamond in the rough! Our favorite part was being able to relax and sit on the patio/dock area, and visit with other guests. We all felt like family because of Cindy and her dogs. This place is VERY pet friendly, with a fenced-in yard. Her 3 dogs were so pleasant to be around...no barking or naughty behavior! We were able to use one of their 3 gas grills, and Cindy let us know of a great happy-hour place (Wahoo's) down the road. This place is a great value...nothing fancy, but everything you need, including nice big bath towels--not those rough skimpy ones travelers usually get! Thanks to Cindy, this place felt like HOME!
