This is a nice, quick stop that is humbling to observe but also easy to make along the path down/up the keys. Very informative and gives perspective/background to the history of the middle keys.

If you don't know it is there, you might miss it. Beautifully done memorial to the Labor Day Hurricane.

After visiting this moument and taking in Florida history you can leave the car parked and walk across the street to Bob's Bunz for breakfast. It's a 2 for 1 stop!

This is a very well done memorial to those lost in Keys hurricanes, especially the 1935 Labor Day one, that killed hundreds, and destroyed the Florida East Coast Railway extension to Key West. The art work is good, especially a tile mural, laying flat, that you don't see until you walk up on it. It only takes a few minutes to see, and is a good stop for a break.
