“Good for picnics or dogs”
Review of Anne's Beach

Anne's Beach

This is a nice place to take a stroll by the water or have a picnic at their covered tables, but I do not recommend it for swimming. The ground is very slimy and quicksand like with poor water visibility.

This beach is a great alternative to South Beach. My sister hosted my nephew's birthday party here and it we had the best time at a beach ever. First of all there are about 3 tiki huts which have plenty of space with 2 picnic tables that have a private entrance to the beach area. You cannot reserve them, its a first come - first serve type of deal. My sister took her small grill and cooked hotdogs/hamburgers/ribs etc..... and the water is very shallow (perfect for those who have small kids) and does not have any currents/waves. At the very entrance of the park there are clean bathrooms for male/females and there are showers out side the bathroom area to rinse off. We went on Memorial day weekend and the parking is limited so be aware, the parking lot holds about 15 cars or so but I was told that in the second entrance there is also space. The beach that day was awesome, clear water, sunny, clear skies. I will definitely go there more often. Ohh even though the beach is sandy there are parts where there is a lot of seaweed and mushy sand so if you don't like the feel of that wear water shoes. Also, be careful because even though the water is clear there are a lot of sand holes that can make you lose your balance. Very fun.

Very nice beach with white sand bars that jet out into the water. Limited parking. bathrooms on site. Sometimes kite boarding may be available.

Found on bringfido.com and what a great find too! We initialy drove by and said "we have to go there!", and it happened to be our beach destination. Beautiful sandbar, breathtaking views of the bluest water as far as the eye can see. Provided by private donors a raised walkway takes you to picnic patios (covered) with stairs leading to the water. Stay for an hour or make a day, you will enjoy! There are restrooms on site as well as out door showers on the north end of the property. Great for all ages and even better for your dogs!!!

Warm, shallow, and still waters. Dog friendly. Love this place. Bring your water shoes, picnic, and sunblock!
