“kinda pretty....”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Made a short visit before heading down to Bahia Honda. Water's very shallow and clear. Bottom is muddy and mostly seagrass. Tried snorkeling and saw just a few fish. Near the shore, kids caught couple of hermit crabs and made a small pool. It's nice that you can walk way out yet the water level doesn't get any higher tan your waist. I found a nice sandy spot and just sat there and it was so nice and relaxing. It's a nice place to visit if you have little ones. We were there on Friday and it wasn't crowded at all.

“Lovely”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

This beach is very natural and beautiful. Definitely something to experience when in the keys. Lots of spots to get in the water. Pretty shallow and clear water for wading. Overflow parking is across the street..be careful, it is a very busy highway. When we were there, the wind surfers were in abundance which was very interesting to watch. There are restrooms but depending on where you put your towel down, may be a bit of a walk.

“Best free beach in the keys..”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

This place is a hidden little gem. Out of all the beaches it's completely free. That's pretty disappointing that this was the ONLY beach in the keys you didn't have to pay to get into. Pretty views and very private. Stop here for sure!!

“Great stop on the Overseas Highway”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

As much as I loved the Keys, one thing I knew going into it was the limited amount of actual beaches you will find. While driving along the Overseas Highway we came across this and thought it was beautiful. White (sand) beach with beautiful blue water and plenty of exploring for the kids with cool fish and crabs. There is a boardwalk from the parking lot that allows you to go along to some smaller inlets on the beach and there are also picnic tables provided along the boardwalk. The parking is free and it is a relatively small quiet place.
