Stopped in for drinks and dessert on a Saturday night after a full day of snorkeling. Live music and the sunset view was what drew us in. If you're looking for that romantic experience, and it's worth it to you to pay for the atmosphere, than this is the place to be.
We'd already had a disappointing dinner elsewhere, and wanted somewhere nice to sit and watch the sunset over dessert and drinks. We sat right on the beach, about 10 feet from the water with nothing between us and the sunset. Split the key lime pie, which was more like a torte than a slice of pie: four inch shell, topped with whipped cream and fresh berries, and it was good, probably the second best out of five we tried in the Keys. Mango mojito was superb (mango tempered the mint for a more savory mojito than most) and my wife enjoyed a virgin pina colada that was simply delicious.
The service was good, even after our server learned we were just in for dessert she kept our water glasses full and made sure we were taken care of for our whole time there. A live trio played reggae-infused classic rock and oldies (Steve Miller Band, Chuck Berry, some original tunes) but was not overpowering, allowing easy conversation on the beach.
All in all a very enjoyable experience, if a little pricier than what we're "used to" paying for dessert and drinks. I figure the ambiance and entertainment was well worth the 30% difference in price.
