Its August, its hot, but nothing is cooler than Morada Bay in Islamorada. Always the most scenic sunset dinner in the keys, this family favorite just delivered another memorable evening. With a huge white sandy beach filled with white loungers under bendy palms, photo ops and playtime entice all until eating time, and then the fun starts. The peppers and ceviche are amazing apps, the yellowtail snapper and fresh lobster tail perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth sweet. Even a kids serving of fish (mahi) was the best fish of the week (unseasoned) and amazing. Do not skip a classic Key Lime Pie!

Service was low key and not rushed and so appreciated. Our bus boy even fished a lost item out of the trash for my son. Super nice!

And the sunset never disappoints - much. See my photo from 8/13.

It is wonderful to hear about your experience at Morada Bay and hope to see you again soon. It is always a pleasure to hear of the staff going the extra step for a guest.

We offer an experience for all guests, whether it is a cocktail in the sand, a light snack at sunset or the perfect candlelit dinner on the beach.

Best Regards,

We discovered this restaurant after shopping at Worldwide Sportsman one morning. We saw the entrance by the bay and walked over to check it out. When we saw the beautiful beach with tables spaced out across it, we couldn't wait to return for dinner.

As we waited for our table, we had a drink and relaxed in the beach chairs. We got a lot of great pictures of the sun setting. When they lit the lanterns on the tables, it was even more beautiful.

We didn't have to wait long for a table, and once we were seated it wasn't anything like any restaurant we had ever experienced because the tables were so far apart. It felt like private dining on a beautiful beach.

The service was very professional. I recommend trying the peppers; they were unique and delicious!

We heard about the restaurant from the staff at the Ocean House resort nearby. We sat at a table on the beach which was lovely! The tables were not packed together to fit more people which was very nice to see. You could enjoy a nice quiet dinner while watching the beautiful sunset across the bay! As the evening gets darker, tiki torches get lit and a small lantern is placed on your table! The food was delicious. The service was good but at times it was a while before our waitress checked back on us. There is plenty of beach to take a little walk around the grounds before your dinner arrives without being in the way of other guests. I highly recommend the Morada Bay as a must for dinner on your vacation! Relax and enjoy!

We had dinner here and loved it. The tables they have out on the "beach" are wonderful. It's a great place to watch the sunset. Service was just average to poor but the food and view overcame that.

Experience: Went for dinner on Saturday night. They don't take reservations but I called multiple times the day of to double check that we were okay for a table (including 15 min before we arrived). Showed up and a large group had "just" claimed the 8-top table on the sand. Hostess was rude and unaccommodating. Waitress was nice enough but just provided awful service. We waited forever for everything and it felt like we spent a good deal of our one trying to locate or flag down our waitress for anything.

Food: Average. Lobster Rolls were crazy spicy, Mahi Fingers were pretty good, Ceviche got mixed reviews, Conch Fritters were ok, Cononut Crusted Mahi was very good, Pork Chop was pretty good, Key Lime Pie was good but not like over the top delicious (I love key lime).

Atmosphere/View: Very casual, on the sand and porch. Romantic but fun and good for groups. There was love music. Great for sunset. For me if this restaurant was anywhere else I would never go back. The setting definitely saves the day.

I'd recommend going just because the setting, but would be scared to give anyone high expectations.
