Very good food even for the non seafood eater. Cheerful staff - informative without being pushy. Casual atmosphere.
Hogfish " mixed" nuts style was delicious and a generous portion.

“Oh my, oh my. Wish they had been around when we lived there.”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

The food, the service, the unique selections...you will not be disappointed spending time dining at Chef Michael's. 3 of us enjoyed dinner Sunday night. The restaurant has been fabulously updated since its predecessor, Manny & Isa. So many fresh fish selections. An excellent wine list to suit every price range. The fresh breads along with the herb/oil dipping sauce was the start. We then shared the lobster tempura. To die for. We ordered a chicken, yellowtail, and hog dinner. My hog dinner had the creole sauce that I could have easily just poured over a bed of rice. Wonderful flavor yet not spicy or overkill. Even the rice was delish. And just when we thought we could eat no more, desert came and solidly topped off our meal. Where or where does that 6-layer carrot cake come from!!! We will return many times on our future trips to Islamorada. Congrats Mary and Michael!

“Culinary Delight & A Lovely Server, Shell”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

Shell crafted our experience into the most memorable meal of our trip. Shell, our server, was incredibly personable, lovable, precise in her craft and helpful with her suggestions.

She talked up the menu and delivered, exceeding our expectations. The food was out of this world! The wine pairings were also well-matched. What a pleasant experience. Thank you, Shell.

“Great brunch place”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

This is one of the really good restaurants in the Islanmorda area. We went there for Sunday brunch and I ordered the Shrimp & Grits. This is a dish I have had in several cities/states, but this was one of the best versions. The local version of Eggs Benedict looked great too, but I wouldn't trade! Be sure to make reservations.

“Great service”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

We showed up without a reservation on a busy Saturday night and they bent over backward to get us a table. The friendly customer oriented attitude continued throughout our meal. We also loved the food, a good selection of seafood and meat dishes. Our hogfish was excellent although the creole sauce I chose tended to overwhelm this delicate fish. Overall, an excellent dining experience.
