The beach is quite small, but the park itself (on the gulf side) is quite nice. Tennis courts, soccer fields, a pool and some walking paths. I wouldn't go too far out of my way to get here but we were staying nearby and it was a nice place to walk the dogs.

In an area surrounded by water yet quite a challenge to get to sit by the water unless you are mooring a boat or staying at a place that has water access, this park in Islamorada provides a nice little beach (Gulf of Mexico) as well as some walking paths to stretch your legs. Not sure when there are any concerts but the outdoor amphitheater looks like a great place to hang out and hear some.

Ok, there's a pool - for which you pay extra. A simple little beach, if you need some sand, I guess it's ok. We felt it was a waste of time and $.

In comparison to the other beaches of Islamorada, this is a great place to go because it's tucked away and well kept. We went to the "beach" at Founders Park but there are other things to, we just never left that area.
Granted, it's a very small area but it is clean and relaxing. Great for buying a float and laying on it for some time.
There is a fee to go but we stayed at Casa Thorn B&B nearby which gave us a free pass to go in and out for the duration of our stay.

If youre tired of the salt water and want some pool time but don't have one in your backyard, this is a great place. Mostly empty, large diving boards, shaded areas and clean facility. My kids love it.
