“Great in Feb”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

Spent 4 days at this inn in Feb 2014, and I must say the employees were wonderful - always accommodating and polite, especially the gentleman and ladies who work at the front desk. The location is beautiful, however it is close to the highway and there is noise throughout the day and night. The pool is lovely and kept tepid. There is a restaurant on the property (Shula2) which saves guests the unnecessary agro of driving all over the Keys looking for a decent place to eat. The bathrooms are a little less desired, both in the rooms and on the property and are in need of some major updating. The staff at the front desk gave us a new room due to the condition of our bathtub. There is free coffee or water at reception throughout the day. There is a room available to use computers or play games as well as table tennis outside.
All in all this was a lovely place to stay on my first visit to the Keys. I would stay here again just because of the staff and their genuine interest in making everyone's visit a great experience. Thank you staff of PCI.

Stayed here for only one night on my way to Key West and wish I could have stayed a couple more nights. Everything you need is within a few steps - beach, pool, bars, restaurants, jet skis, boats, etc. The 2 meals I had there were great and the tiki bar was a lot of fun as well. My room was on the first floor pretty much right on the beach. There were chairs to lay out on right outside the door. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. There was a little wear and tear in some areas (bathroom door, sink area) but it almost added to the nautical charm. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again!

We stayed here for 2 nights in January.
Our first night we were upgraded, for free, to an oceanview room. The views were breathtaking and we felt part of the action down on the beach. Our views of the sunset and ocean were spectacular. Only minor complaint of the oceanview room was the lack of privacy between balconies. I felt like I enjoyed my morning coffee next to strangers in their pajamas. I forget the name of the guy who upgraded us, but we are so appreciative of his kindness (young black gentleman). Our second night we were placed in the original room we had booked which was not on the beach. The room, however, was still very nice and offered a balcony as well.
The beach bars were great, we went for the rum runner special on Wednesday and the $1 beers on Thursday. Can't beat that! Only complaint was that we had to coax the rum runner special out of the bartender at the Tiki Bar who pretended to be clueless about the special and made an effort not to advertise it. Our bartender at Rum Runners, Jay, was great. So friendly and the service was unbeatable. If we find ourselves in the area in the future, we will definitely be staying here again and will fork out the extra cash for another oceanview room. I can't speak much to the amenities offered, our planned "beach day" ended up being a cold, windy, rainy day so we were not able to enjoy the pool or beach.

Room Tip: Shop around for room rates, we found much cheaper rates online through 3rd party websites than what...

Location and grounds are excellent. Love their beach! Although we tend to explore a lot and use hotels only for sleep, we actually decided to stay one day in and enjoyed the grounds and the beach. With excellent raw bar and the sunset boat that leaves from the marina, you can just stay "in", swim, eat and relax. The massage on the beach was also amazing! New rooms are clean and well maintained. Rooms near Tiki Bar can be loud, especially over the weekend, but the music supposed to stop around midnight. Also if you are sensitive to smells, the rooms overlooking the Marina with gorgeous views can have a slight odor of gas from the Marina. We will be back :)

great views..property could use some updating. Friendly staff. very convenient for all sports water related. only one building has an elevator so we were schlepping our stuff up 2 flights of stairs. would go back tho as good central location.

Room Tip: by all means go for a view type room..top floors are quietest

We had stayed at the Postcard Inn last year and loved it (see our previous review), so we booked it again this year. Unfortunately, we got off to a bad start. We'll spare you the details, but we were less than happy. Fortunately, as we said in our last review, the Postcard Inn is staffed with people that pay attention and care. Specifically, in this case, both Rich and Joe (the chief engineer and manager, respectively, I believe) worked hard to make everything right. First, they tried to fix the things that were wrong with the room. When that didn't work, they arranged for another room, made sure we got moved with no pain, and checked up on us to make sure we were happy and satisfied.

Listen, when you travel, anything and everything can go wrong. We can't blame the Postcard Inn for the glitches, but we certainly can laud Rich and Joe (and Maggie, for that matter) for working hard to make it all right.

Long and short of it is that if you're going to be in Islamorada (or anywhere close), the Postcard Inn is the best place to stay.

Room Tip: If you're willing to pay a little more, you should definitely get an ocean-front room in the &qu...
