Description: Our restaurant atmosphere is warm and friendly. Our food is prepared delightfully light, healthy and flavorful. Our seafood is grilled with lovely toppings - and if you desire fried, we fry in rice oil for good health. We do have delicious, made in house desserts including our Awarding winning traditional Key Lime Pie, German Chocolate Cake and locals favorite Hummingbird Cake. MA's also has a desirable Wine and Beer menu.

“Sad to see them closed”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We were so disappointed today when we stopped by here around noon on our way from Key West, only to find a huge closed sign. The Trip Advisor reviews sounded very favorable but we will never know. We opted for the Hungry Tarpon instead, which was wonderful food and atmosphere!

“Truly amazing!!!!”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

Some of the best seafood I have ever had. Everything was fresh and delicious. Had the coconut crusted shrimp for an appetizer and thought it was going to be like the others I have had in Chicago. I was delightfully wrong. This was light and flaky and so flavorful. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. What a treat.

Then moved on to the fish tacos with a side of beans and rice. Thought "okay, had this before..." But I did NOT have what was placed in front of me. We got both fish tacos and they were out of this world. So fresh and light. The beans and rice were fresh and not from a can or some preprocessed container.

Already full, I was tempted to get the key lime pie. The pie was dense which was a nice surprise and did not overwhelm you with a tart lime taste. The top was a merengue and had a side of homemade whipped cream. Absolutely divine. Cannot wait to go back.

I think I gave gluttony a new definition.

“A Must!”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

We didn't have reservations but they were very accommodating when we walked in with six people. They serve wine and beer and we sat by the small bar had a few drinks and waited for a table to open up. We all had different types of fish prepared blackened and grilled. We all enjoyed the meal which came with sides. My husband loved the cheesy grits and I enjoyed the twice baked potato. The service was fast and friendly, food was prepared perfectly and a good value. This place is a must while visiting the Keys!

“No views but amazing food!”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

Generally i find food and service in the middle keys to be mediocre. Ma's has no dramatic sunsets etc, but the food and service are terrific in all aspects. Ranges from "high end" to fried stuff. Smoked fish dip, chowder excellent. Key lime pie with meringue on top is to die for.

Soak in views etc at islamorada fish co or morada bay, then walk across street to ma's for a better meal.

“Most affordable "great" food in the Keys”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

One of only 3 restaurants we make a point to enjoy more than once every time we visit the Keys. Very low - key atmosphere, hard not to feel comfortable. Excellent entrees, above excellent deserts. Nice live music on Wednesdays. Not expensive, relative to Monroe County. It's a true "don't miss."
