Description: Our restaurant atmosphere is warm and friendly. Our food is prepared delightfully light, healthy and flavorful. Our seafood is grilled with lovely toppings - and if you desire fried, we fry in rice oil for good health. We do have delicious, made in house desserts including our Awarding winning traditional Key Lime Pie, German Chocolate Cake and locals favorite Hummingbird Cake. MA's also has a desirable Wine and Beer menu.

“Best fish tacos and freshest fish”
Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

We visited twice during our February 2012 vacation and absolutely loved the grilled fish tacos and the desserts (best key lime pie around! ). We were back to Islamorada on vacation in March of this year and visited Ma's again twice. Didn't disappoint!!! Great tacos, fish dip, and fresh snapper and hog fish. Hummingbird cake is also a treat! Come for terrific food at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is very basic but service very friendly and great music on Wednesday nights.

“Great meal”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Arrived early, around 6:00, ahead of the crowds. We had a great meal of blackened shrimp, which we shared and it was just right. Waitress very nice and did not mind at all about us sharing. We very served very quickly, almost too fast - think we were done in 45 minutes total. But I think that was because we beat the rush. Noticed that at later times the parking lot was quite full.

“Nice, small place”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Took the family. Service was good and the food delicious. Staff were very friendly. Had the stuffed hogfish which is a local fav. Good experience for a smaller, low key restaurant.

“Excellent fish”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

We took our morning "catch" of snapper to Ma's. We had the fish prepared fried and it was the most amazing fish we've ever eaten. Each piece was crunchy/crispy while the fish remained tasty and moist. The hush puppies and cole slaw were great. Loved that they gave you each a miniature pitcher of tea so that your glass never ran dry. Sweet potato fries were also very good. Also a good value. We indulged in German chocolate cake and Key Lime pie. Both were amazing. The restaurant seemed quite popular but not overcrowded. While we did notice several other parties that brought their "catch", the menu was complete with fresh fish and other specialties for those that didn't bring in their own fish. Easy to find as it's right across the street from Bass Pro. Look for the big American flag at bass pro and Ma's is directly across on the ocean side of the island.

Stopped in for lunch. Big portions. Reasonably priced. Fish tacos were excellent.

I will go back for dinner.
