Definitely a good stop for tons of seafood. We tried a lot of their dishes and none were disappointing. The broiled seafood platter and shrimp platter looked the best. The lobster au gratin is pretty tasty. No complaints here and the key lime pie is very creamy and tart. We would love to go back the next time we're in the keys.

We went for a drive from Key Largo to Islamorada because Florida is having a cold snap of overcast and cool. No shorts weather here...so we stopped several times and then reached Robbie's at the end of Islamorada (to see the Tarpon) but it was too chilly to sit outside for lunch so we jumped back in the car and headed back to Key Largo stopping at several tourist shops to look around.

At about 1 pm, we asked where we should eat and two sales ladies smiled and said, We eat here and the locals eat here. Go to Lazy Days, it is just past the high Hampton Inn and a left hand turn, (heading Key West direction).

We arrived and got a table for 2 outside on the patio. It was pleasant because they had heavy plastic covers rolled down past the railing.

We had Chicken Lazy Day style for my husband and Hogfish Sandwich with Panko Jalepeno breading. The chicken had tomatoes, scallions, Parmesan and a wine sauce over it. My fish left a slight hot spicy pleasant flavor after every bite. I didn't see a single piece of green jalepeno so I am guessing it was jalepeno powder. We also loved the banana bread we ordered on the side.
P.S. the plates were alot of food.
Our server apologized for how busy they still were and let us know that it would be a few minutes before he would be back. We had a leisurely lunch but our water was refilled and we enjoyed our meal and the restaurant.

This is a large restaurant for Islamorada with an equally large menu. The food was good and plentiful, but the quality of preparation just wasn't there. However, it's still one of the better restaurants on the island.

We loved this restaurant. Go fishing, bring your catch to them and they will prepare it for you any way you like. Prices were reasonable and the staff was extremely nice. Overall, a fun, casual, tasty experience!

We brought our own fish right off the deck of a Bud and Mary's fishing boat and the restaurant provided the potato, salad, bread and veggies. They cooked the fish the way we wanted it cooked and the whole experience was downright tasty. Service was excellent and we needed the air conditioning after all day in the sun. But this place also has outdoor eating that looks just as nice, if a bit more casual. Very busy, but very efficient. The Coasties were eating there, so that proves the place is good with the locals, too.
