It is not difficult to pay big dollars on accommodations in the Florida Keys. This motel is one of the least expensive options you can find. I was expecting more, but when I got down there and seen other more expensive accommodations I realized that it was a bargain down there. We payed $106 dollars a night (tax in) because we travelled during the Christmas season. The lady/owner was very nice and helpful. She gave us lots of information on places to eat or things to see and do while in the Keys. The room was very clean but the condition of the room was poor. The full sized stove and fridge were probably 30 years old and rusty. The hollow core bathroom door was damaged, and the bottom flapped around when you opened and closed the door. There was no room telephone or hotel telephone. The microwave was very rusty on the outside. The beds we ok. The particle board washroom vanity was falling apart. No kids activities or pool at this motel either. The room's TVs looked like a small computer monitor too. If you look at it as just a place to sleep it is fine.
If your expectations are low you will not be disappointed. We would stay here again even though I pointed out some of the negatives. I felt safe, and it was a quiet place.
