Smugglers Cove Resort and Marina

Lively bar and very friendly staff. Caught some Tuna on a charter and the chef prepared it wonderfully. Rooms were a little old but neat and clean. Good place to stop on our way to the lower keys. You can arrange a boat out of smugglers or one of the many marinas close by.

Room Tip: Choose an upstairs view if you want to be over the marina. Downstairs if you have kids or older adul...

Smuggler's Cove has a varied menu and the specials change daily. We go there every weekend and have always had a tasty meal! The view is great and the prices are very reasonable. The presentation of the food is great and it is soooo goood!!!! I don't understand the negative reviews Smugglers has received as we have eaten there approximately 20 times over the last 6 months and have never been disappointed. There is another restaurant located across the street which is overpriced and the food is mediocre but they are seem so much busier which I really don't understand.??? It must be the advertising because Smuggler's Cove is clearly a better choice!!!!

this is a great hotel with friendly staff. everyone went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms have been renovated recently and new docks available for your boat. Ecxcellent marina with direct access to ocean and bay. The resturant has excellent food at great prices and service as good as any where. Will be staying here on every trip to Islamorada

Recently visited this location while looking to spend a night in Islamorada. Located right across US 1 from Hog's Heaven bar, this place was a find. The rates were beyond reasonable for the keys, the staff was extremely courteous and friendly, and the room was great. Will definitely repeat this visit the first chance I get.

We stopped for lunch on our way to key west and I'm writing this review before I forget. I never write reviews! We had four people recommend that we stopped there and I'm so glad they did! The food and drink were fantastic and Courtney our waitress was wonderful!

The food is horrible, the service is terrible in the restaurant. The lobster bisque my wife ordered tasted like buttery water. The fried maui sandwich my daughter and I had was doused with so much garlic salt that they were inedible. I asked the server for an iced tea refill that never arrived, this with the restaurant only having 2 other tables of patrons. When we explained the issues with the maui sandwiches to the server, the chef came out and was obviously very angry that we complained about his food. I will never eat there again.

This was my husband & my first trip to Islamorada with friends.
We had such a good time at Smugglers. We enjoyed the live music nightly and playing shuffle board.. Everyone that worked there was so nice and accommodating. The other patrons were also so nice it seemed everyone became your friend instantly. The rooms are clean and the food was great.
