Description: In the Florida Keys you'll find this old Keys-style marina and fish shack "somewhere on A1A." A true conch atmosphere with many tasty delights, here in this Florida Keys restaurant you'll find yourself indulged in the Caribbean-inspired cuisine, the compassionate people and old Keys tranquility that is the Hungry Tarpon restaurant in Islamorada. The building has been standing since 1947 and with a home like Robbie's of Islamorada, plus a fascinating history, it all makes the Hungry Tarpon a part of the tradition since 1976. Enjoy dining on our bayside deck with tiki torches lighting up the night. Relax with friends over our fabulous appetizers and watch the boats come and go. Stroll our open air shops then wander to our sandy beach, melt into one of our bayside lounge chairs and let the sea air wash away the rush of the day.

We went there for brunch on a Sunday AM and sat outside. The view is amazing, the locals (egrets and pelicans) were active. The lobster crepes were incredible -chunks of lobster the size of a deck of cards!!!! OMG!!!!! It was so good, we stopped again on our way back home from Key West. The shops around the parking lot were a fun diverson and of course you just MUST feed the fish at the marina!!!!

“Fun Place”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Would recommend eating outside because we ate inside which was very small and cramped. Make sure to say hello to Donna. She was very entertaining and took time to show us some of the local flora outside the back door. She was a hoot! The blackened mahi sandwich was very good.Don't forget to feed the tarpon after eating. It's free admission to see them if you have eaten in the restaurant.

“Fabulous food, great service!”

Loved this place! Took a day trip through the keys, and stopped at Robbie's marina and the Hungry Tarpon. Food was tasty, fresh, and served with a great attitude. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area!

“Interesting place, great food”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

Robbie's Marina and the Hungry Tarpon is a great place to visit. The Hungry Tarpon is small and cramped, but it was air-conditioned so we didn't care. The Mahi sandwich was delicious as were the conch fritters. Our waitress was definitely old school. She didn't put up with much, but she was very attentive and friendly. ** If you want to feed the tarpon, eat at the Hungry Tarpon first. You won't have to pay the $1 per person fee to get on the dock.

“Good food and fun experience!”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

We enjoyed our lunch....Mahi tacos and Mahi sandwich. Our server was prompt and kind. We had a great view of the docks and then took our turn feeding the HUGE tarpon. It was free to get in docks after eating in restaurant and just had to buy bait. Kids loved it!
