We had a very nice suite with a small outside balcony staircase; everyone enjoyed the 5 day stay. Highlights were: the hotel-sponsored Eco Resort series, where our 10 year old grandson learned all about the red mangroves, manatees, and local sea urchins from Gary, a very engaging Marine biologist; the first class restaurant, Tavern N' Town; a very convenient Fury boat excursion service at the hotel dock; a nice salt water swimming pool; and very friendly and professional young service staff representing at least a dozen countries ranging from Turkmenistan to Poland. The concierge was an extraordinarily well informed and very helpful local. Reception staff were terrific and managed a number of problems swiftly (jammed porch door; dishwasher issue). A shuttle service ran at least hourly to stops around Duval Street although it was easier to drive or grab one of the pink cabs. The pool got very crowded late in the day and was less enjoyable; the "beach" was not for swimming or sunning but served as the boat dock for jet skis and tour boats; rooms were not made up until quite late in the day; the elevator from Garage 6 was making progressively scarier sounds and struggling more through the week; several times it was hard to find a parking space in the evening.
