“Good tour of the Hammock”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

You'll learn a lot about the South Florida ecosystem, and what is being done to protect it, when you tour the Eco-Discovery Center. Another free attraction (though it's good to make a donation), it's a good air-conditioned venue for an hour or so.

“Marine Environment”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

Have been coming to Key West for years and did not know this place even existed. My daughter is really into things dealing with marine environment so this place was great for her. IT IS FREE! Hard to believe it is FREE. Great for all ages. They even have a little theater showing you about the marine environment. Very clean. They have a little shop, clean restrooms and vending machine for snacks and drinks. Also just a great place to cool off in the a/c

“Go Here Before Snorkeling”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Completely free, the Eco Discovery Center does a great job of educating visitors of different ecosystems you'll find in the Keys (mangroves, seagrass beds, and mangroves), and will educate all snorkelers and scuba divers of what they should expect during reef dives. Great place to spend an hour.

“Nice little Freebie”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

There is a great film showing of snorkelling the reef, some interactive bits and some live exhibits. It isn't any comparison to other larger sea life places, however, it was nice to see and free
