“Good Ambiance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

We stopped in for lunch because it looked like a very cute open air cafe. We got a table and waited on right away. We had a couple of margaritas and they were just OK, nothing special. The salsa was bland. We had the salmon tacos. The plate presentation was great and the pieces of salmon were generous, but they were a little bland for Mexican food.

Our waiter was friendly and attentive, we had very good service. The cafe was very relaxing and a great place to people watch. But overall, the drinks and lunch were just average, nothing special.

Service was a little slow, food was pretty good. The best thing about this place was the location and the ambiance. I would eat here again.

“great mexican food, better than most”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

we came here with a family of five because we just wanted a break from seafood. the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. the prices were very reasonable and the food was quite good. I got roasted corn with spices, cheese and lime-it was fantastic street food quality. my husband got calamari which was good. the kids ordered a huge plate of nachos which was very fresh and impossible to finish. for entrees, we got the enchiladas suiza-great flavor, not too much cheese and very tender chicken. we also got chicken mole quesadilla-really good, chicken chimichangas,-quite delicious, and steak fajitas, which were just OK. the guacamole was really good. overall, the food was so much better than most mexican restaurants in the north (where we live) and about as good as the tex-mex fare in the south (where I used to live). For drinks we got the homemade sangria by the glass which was very good and not overly sweet. It was well made and citrusy. for desserts, we got coconut flan which was really good, banana enchiladas, which were very flavorful with a chocolate sauce. the chocolate chili brownie was interesting with a slight bite of chili at the end. the setting was outdoors and very very casual. Overall, it was a very pleasant meal and I would definitely go back there. I highly recommend this place for families or for a couple looking for good quality mexican food.

“Yummy!!! Who would have guessed???”

What a smart choice we made on that warm day in April, 2014 walking on Duval...getting hungry and thirsty. Seemed a bit pricey for "taco salad and tacos". OMG!!! What a wonderfully delicious plate of food. Not your ordinary Mexican fare....almost seemed "gourmet". Plenty of it and taste was awesome....the entire lunch was great. Would definitely go back again and recommend highly.

“Simple food made very well”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2014

We stopped at this restaurant by chance while walking on Duval Street. It was a great find. The owner waited on us himself and couldn't have been more pleasant. The drinks and food were made perfectly and we enjoyed the entire experience. I recommend this place for anyone going to Key West
