I found Knowles House online and so glad I did. My husband and I spent a busy Memorial Day weekend walking around and seeing sights. After a long hot day, it was a great pleasure to come back to a quiet retreat and relax. We so enjoyed the wonderful hospitality we were shown. Christina was there to greet us when we arrived and immediately made us feel like "old friends". This made our experience even more special. We will be back! Anne and Ken Mikesell

We enjoyed our first visit to Key West. The staff is exceptionally helpful providing recommendations for where to visit and what to see.
The room was perfect, comfortable, clean and private.

My husband & I stayed at the Knowlesh House for a week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I knew immediately upon arrival that this was a little gem! The staff, Les, Paul and Christina were an excellent trio of hosts and helped in many ways with making us feel at home, offering complimentary glasses of wine and helped book a tour for us! We were happy to even see a complimentary bottle of champagne on our bed along with fresh flowers, two fluted glass and a beautiful personal note written by the staff to us to honor our anniversary! They entire stay was perfect, the breakfast each morning by the pool was great, the location was a short stroll to everything. It was really nice to stay in a historic "conch" house to really get the true feel of Key West instead of staying at a large, very expensive "sterlile" resort. Thank you again, and Christina, you were wonderful, from the moment I came through that front door and we hugged, I felt like you were my aunt or big sister and that I had known you for years even though this was our first time meeting!! The package we bought was a true gem of value, we enjoyed all the excursions/museums vouchers included and your rates are great, in this economy I believe that is very important, espceially with all the competition out there; plus fair rates/excellent hospitality keep customers coming back and provide good referals for family/friends. Keep up the great hospitality, I have recommended your B & B to all of my friends, family and co-workers! We will be back, hopefully soon! Tina & Joe from Connecticut

Room Tip: We stayed in the tinest room, our choice since it was cozy/romantic and just the two of us, but Christina allowed me to view a few of them while we were there when no one was renting the room and all are very nice, depending on size and theme you are looking for, all have private baths too.

I found Knowles House through an online search and had a good feeling when I checked out their website. After our arrival, I knew that we had struck gold. Les was there to welcome us and give a bit of history about the house and explain all of the wonderful amenities. After settling in we enjoyed the complementary wine before heading out to dinner. The next day we met Paul and the charming Christina. What a terrific trio of hosts. This was out first time in Key West, so we had lots of questions, which were all patiently answered. We also had the good fortune to met some wonderfully interesting people there over the course of our four-day stay. It was delightful to linger over breakfast and chat with the other guests. Everyone seemed so friendly and relaxed, due in no small part to the atmosphere of Knowles House.
The location was great and we walked to Mallory Square, Duval St., Hemingway House and all restaurants. Even though it rained almost every day, we had a great vacation!

Room Tip: Eaton Street is quite busy and Knowles House is close to a well-traveled intersection. Since our room was in the front of the house, we could hear outside traffic at night. After the first night, I used the complementary ear plugs and slept well. I would recommend a room in the back of the house, unfortunately none were available when we made our reservation.

Jane and I arrived in Key West for our 3 day break and, after a very short stroll from the Ferry Terminal, found ourselves enfolded in the genuine warmth of Christina's welcome, and a glass of excellent Merlot! The Knowles House is a delightful, beautifully appointed period hostelry, a world apart from those impersonal giant Chain Hotels. Christina is the perfect hostess, charming, funny and so pleased to help with her encyclopaedic knowledge of the attractions of Key West and the best deals. The Snorkelling trip on the yacht Floridays, the visits, using the hop-on-hop off trolleys, to the Hemingway House and Shipwreck museum, Duvall St and Mallory Square, and the great restaurants and bars, all on Christina's recommendations, will live with us forever. The pool, hot tub and excellent breakfast buffet, and the comfortable, beautifully fitted out bedroom all helped to make this the most enjoyable breakaway I can recall. Jane and I simply love the place..and shall return! Thank you Christina. X
