The Westin hotel in Key West was wonderful. The front desk staff were professional and helpfull. The hotel is clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We loved it. The restaurant was outstanding (We had breakfast and lunch). The location and the view from the hotel it couldn't be better. We can't wait to go back an eat at the Lattitude Restaurant. The whole experience was wonderful, the only regret was that we were evacuated too soon from our vacation by the Key West authority due to possible hurricane Ernesto. So we have to cut our vacation short. The hotel did not charged us for the rest of our vacation. That was very nice.
We can't wait to go back. We highly recommend this hotel.
Our overall experience was excellent !

Can not comment on the hotel but the restaurant is one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had! We thought we had a great place to sit, eat and watch the great Key West sunset. Well, we sat and did get to watch the sunset.

Once the sun was down and we were contemplating our 3rd round of drinks we began to wonder just where our food was. It was difficult to catch our waitress as she was the only person servicing about 20 tables. An hour after our order was placed one of our friends went looking for our waitress and found the manager. She asked what the problem was and when told she informed him that was impossible because "all food comes out within ten minutes". Never did she say "Let me check on it for you" or anything like that. She was later also extremly rude to my wife, even putting her hands up in her face and telling her that "they never take that long to serve food."

It is in a great location. One can only hope that someone else takes the place over. As for now just keep walking down Mallory Square and find someplace civil to eat.

After reading all the ho-hum reviews on the Hilton in Key West, I was hesitant to stay there. Sure glad we did! We spent 7 glorious nights at this resort in June and everything was top notch. Room 263 is the best room in the complex. Great view (not blocked by cruise ships) and great balcony. Spacious, clean and the beds were great. Even greater were the pillows! Maid service was good, and food was great (yes, it is pricey). Highlights of this hotel - location, location, location! What more could you ask for than a hotel that was within walking distance of everything, overlooked the blue of the gulf, and every evening you could watch the beautiful sunset and the celebration that went along with it. In addition, we got brand new beds while there! Not to mention, access to Sunset Key Beach - which was beautiful. The best thing about this beach is the privacy and lack of people! What a great way to relax. However, the most important amenity was the conceirge service. Adrian and Jane Emma were the absolute best conceirge's I've ever experienced. They directed us to great restaurants, great entertainment and set us up with snorkeling, the Ghost Tour, the Conch Train - and they did it all with a smile. One day our mini-bar didn't get re-stocked and they even took care of that. They gave us directions - they made our trip hassle free.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Key West. It's pricey, but as we found out, everything is in the Conch Republic! We had a vacation to remember.

The Hilton is the way to go when you visit Key West. The hotel has the best location to everything! We had a standard room but upon arrival they upgraded us to a partial ocean view in the main building. The room was HUGE! Yeah on a few occassions we woke up to a massive cruise ship, but to be honest those things are amazing to watch coming or going. The roof top bar gave us a great view of the sunset and then a short walk to Duval street for a night of fun. The Sunday brunch was expensive, but the selection they had made it worth it and the added bonus of getting to watch a cruise ship dock really added to the experience.
If you are looking to take a jet ski tour around the island, try to find another location. Our tour was fun and fast but we did not get to go into the little hidden spots I was expecting. Our tour guide was somewhat knowledgeable when we stopped for a break but I was more interested in going fast on the ski.
I know this review is about the hotel but for drinks, anywhere you go is great. Live music in every establishment, but if you need a break from the heat Irish Kevin's is the place to go for AC and good music. After cooling off Sloppy Joe, Dogs Breathe, Whistle, Bull and Captian Tony's are all good bars. For food The Counch Republic on the water was great not only for food but also for thier bar. The hidden jems of the vacation is Pepe's for dinner, make sure you sit outside under the trees, great ambiance. And if you like buffalo wings, I know we are in Key west but PT's bar right down from Pepe's are the best I have ever eaten. Nice locals joint but that is half the fun of going on vacation.
Overall Great experience and I can't wait to go back. The room and location was so great I would request the same room the next time. Enjoy your stay!

My boyfriend and I, both in our mid-twenties stayed at the Hilton from June 7th-11th. The location of the Hilton was amazing we couldn't have asked to be any closer to the action on Duval Street!!! Our room was large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows felt down. Beware though the prices for the mini bar are a bit high. Our room overlooked the pool on the second floor (248) you couldn't see the ocean but I wasn't planning on viewing the ocean from my room. The hotel grounds are very nice & clean and if your looking for a quick bite before you hit the streets the Bistro 245 is pretty tasty. The pool was nice & clean, the water felt bath like but what can you expect. The prices at the pool bar are outragious so we decided to buy a cooler & our own beverages but where quickly told that was not allowed. We didn't leave though and nothing was said again. Much cheaper to do it that way. As far as Duval street is concerned it was loads of fun. Irish Kevins is by far our favorite bar. I wouldn't suggest taking your children to Sloppy Joe's though not that the food or drinks aren't great but the entertainment is not for children. Overall we had a great time and definitely plan on returning and staying at the Hilton again.
