I traveled to the Westin in Key West on Business. It was nice, but expensive for the room amenities. At 279 a night I expect to get a fridge in the room, and for the coffee service not to be in the closet. The beds were harder than other Westin's I've stayed in. The pool area, decor, food and meeting room was lovely. Nice views from the Balconey. We had trouble signing on to Internet in our meeting the first day.

This is THE most overated and OVERPRICED hotel we have EVER stayed at. Avg $300 night, "upgraded" to the ocean (cruise ship) view? Just not on the ball, at best the cost should be $150 a night. We stay regularly at other hotels for less than this with all inclusive amenities, from meals to drinks. Thought we would give it a try, won't be back.

This hotel is an excellent location for all things key west. i stayed with a group of friends and we had a great time at the Westin. we walked everywhere and felt very safe. the pool was fun and not too crowded. the amenities were on point and offered a great value. I would stay here again when I return.

Room Tip: call a few days ahead and ask for a better room location if possible (aka free upgrade) - ex: partia...

I stay at a LOT of SPG hotels each year. I stayed uwing points for this trip. I will not say this is the nicest Westin (it is not corporate owned), and it is not by any means the nicest hotel on the island. But it is nicer than 95% of Sheratons and Marriots around the country.

The rooms were decent sized, clean and well appointed. The AC worked well ans was quiet. The pool was nice, clean and not too crowded.

It was located close to the heart of Duval street, but not too close.

The only drawback is a problem across Key West: Everything is overpriced: $12 Mojitos and Margaritas.

Room Tip: All the rooms have balconies and I don't think there are any that area louder or quieter than ot...

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon trip to Key West. The location was wonderful, we had a nice little balcony overlooking the water. There were cruise ships daily, however we were able to watch the sunset at night from our room. We were right near Duval Street so we could walk to everything we wanted to. The staff was kind enough to send up a plate of goodies and a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate our honeymoon which was a very nice touch. Our room was quiet, breakfast was good, pool area was nice, and we all around really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed only one night in Key West and chose the Westin Key West Resort because it was within walking distance of the Mel Fisher Museum which was our main reason for the trip to Key West. It is literally right across the street from the Westin. Our room was a pool view on the second floor in the annex building. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was fabulous! The beds were comfortable, but the bed linens were scratchy, not what I was expecting from the description on the hotel website. The view was fine, and the sunset view from the pier was pretty. There was a cruise ship docked there on Thursday morning, but it didn't bother us. Front desk/checkin was excellent. The price was average for this type and location, but still steep enough that we only could afford to stay one night. What I did not like was the confusing maze-like corridors leading to our room, easy to get lost there! Also, we wanted to try the restaurant/grill but could not find it. There was an arrow painted on the hallway wall near the elevator but that was the only reference we could find, and certainly were not able to find the restaurant from that underwhelming direction. Of course the room service menu was prominently displayed in the hotel room, but we wanted a real meal with sit-down dining, not room service. The art museum in the courtyard was interesting, especially the sculptured figures and the nearly real life "statues" that almost had me fooled at first until I watched for a few seconds and realized that they were not moving! The hotel is very convenient to Duval Street and all its shops and bars and restaurants, but away from the noise. It's all within walking distance so you can avoid paying to park somewhere else, which was another reason for choosing this hotel. I think if we return to Key West in the future, we would look at a Bed & Breakfast next time just for a different experience.

The hotel staff was excellent! Our check-in experience was fantastic. The young lady was very friendly, extremely personable and kept us in the loop on the status of our room as we arrived extremely early. Our room was huge and had a great little balcony to take in the key west sun. Best Mojitos by far @ Westin Bar.

Room Tip: pay extra for balcony so worth it!
