“Delicious food!”

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. The scallop piccata was one of the best meals I have ever eaten! The scallops were seared perfectly and the sauce was unbelievably delicious! My husband loved his meal too. I would definitely recommend this place, even though it's a little pricey.

“Fabulous food, atmosphere, and staff.”

What a great find. Food was so good at lunch we had to return for dinner and were not disappointed. The key lime pie is the best we've had from Charleston to Savannah to the Keys. Out of 10 different dishes we could not choose our favorite. Would definitely return.

“Wish it would have been more....”

I decided to ignore some of the reviews when I should have known better. The ambiance was beautiful, the views were perfect, our server LOUIS was attentive and extremely knowledgable, but the food was not what I expected. My grouper was dry and the surf and turf for 2=$135 and I could have made it better myself. YUCK. Huge disappointment. Go for views and dessert. You want a REAL top notch dining experience? Hideaway Cafe in Grassy Key EXCEPTIONAL MEAL AND SERVICE with extensive wine list. Half price 10xs better food!!!

“Delicious Eating Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

To celebrate our wedding anniversary we took a wonderful one week trip through South Florida visiting State Parks and tourist attractions and looked at our surroundings with fresh eyes. Our "staycation" Florida trip concluded with an amazing eating experience at Hot Tin Roof in Key West. Our reservation was at 8 pm close to sunset time. We enjoyed a spectacular view from our comfortable inside dining table and from the get go everything went smoothly. Our waitress Marie was attentive without being intrusive. The big glass bottle with filtered water, the lit menu, the bread selection and presentation all led to a delicious eating experience that was surprisingly superior and far more inventive than what usual 'fine dining' offers. Here is what we ordered: Scallop on grits with black beans, warm goat cheese, served in a cast iron terrine, char boiled ribeye steak, caramelized grouper with coconut corn, chorizo, carrots..and we are still drooling over the vanilla ice cream cobbler, recommended by the GM Joseph who stopped by to make sure that everything was to our liking. We were impressed and delighted and will return to check out lunch some day soon. Erika & Joel Biddle
