“Beautiful Boats”
Reviewed September 2, 2014

Great seaport, with lots of action. Plenty of fisherman's boats, you can see them brining in the catch of the day. Lobsters, fish, etc.

“Down to the sea in ships”
Reviewed September 1, 2014

A walk along Key West's historic seaport is a thrill for potential sailors of all ages. Schooners, sailboats, catamarans, yachts, and other boats of all shapes and sizes make for a delightful time on the Key West waterfront. Walking along the boardwalks, you might even spot manatees and giant tarpon.

“Very interesting”

The Key West bight is the original port for K.W. There are all kinds of marine activities going on there. There are shrimpers as well as sightseeing boats.

“GREAT PLACE TO SPEND A FEW HOURS JUST "HANGING OUT"”
Reviewed August 16, 2014

Go here to the seaport district to kill a few hour, enjoy happy hour, walk the boardwalk, watch the Tarpon feedings, or take a sunset or fishing cruise. You can do it all from this great Key West neighborhood. This place is also the courtesy bus drop and pick up point for several of the large hotels so it truly is a great location. Tons of fantastic places to eat such as A&B Lobster, Conch Republic, Alonzo's, Turtle Kraals, The Commodore and Boathouse at the Commodore. The latter (Boathouse) overlooks the harbor and many yachts and is home to best happy hour in Key West. Half price domestic drafts and bottles and half price apps as well. Decent portions, good quality food and fantastic bartenders and servers. It runs 4:30-6:30 and gets full so arrive early and get some primo bar seats with a harbor view. You will go back every visit like we do. At least three or four times each trip. Lots of shops in the area too and also the docking point for lots of sunset cruises (Fury is the best by far) and fishing excursions. Spend some time here, it's a great take and great way to spend a few hours.
