Went for breakfast on New Year's Day and was pleasantly surprised. I had the lobster omelet and the hubby hade the Benedict both were excellent. Best food we have had since we got here last week. The service was very pleasant also.

Great breakfast place. Only thing was we were there around 10:00 am and it didn't seem like our waitress was awake yet. She was rather surly and not all smiley or friendly - especially since it was just before Christmas. I guess the Grinch was there before us. We all loved our pancakes, eggs and breakfast cocktails. I was here back in the the 1990's when Camille's was on Duval and it's still wonderful.

Sorry to hear you weren't greeted with a smile, Karen. That's certainly something we'd like to check in with the team about. Thanks for the heads up! In the meantime, we can't wait to have you back for more of our tasty breakfast.

Cheers,

We had breakfast here yesterday, we were greeted well and had a very short wait to be seated because it was very busy. We were offered to wait at the bar.

Once seated we were served by a really lovely server ( nothing was too much trouble)

We ordered the crab cake Benedict. It was absolutely fabulous! Lovely rich hollandaise, tasty crab cake and perfectly poached eggs, 2 Benedict's served with tasty home fries.

The atmosphere was friendly and warm, it's a bit off the beaten path at the southern end of Simonton but it's worth the walk.

As this is one street off of Duval we tried it to avoid the crowd and were nicely suprised. The calamari appetizer, Hogfish, stuffed mahi, lentil soup and even the house salad were great. The key lime pie and chocolate bomb were also fantastic for dessert. The main disappointment was the service. I think they are understaffed for the busy season. One of our group got the all you can eat crab (which was the only thing that was average- but "all you can eat" stuff usually is) and the crab was dropped off at the table but the appropriate utensils and accompaniments took another 15 minutes to arrive. Also, a martini that was ordered had to be sent back as it was ordered dirty and clearly not, and it was returned with the appropriate amount of dirtiness. However, when the second martini was ordered it was again not dirty, was sent back and basically set on the bar, got warm, and was sent back to table in previous undirty condition. We decided not to complain and send it back again as it took so long we did not want to spend another 15 minutes waiting. Overall, it was not enough to discourage us from going back as the food was good but I would recommend they work on service a little.

Thanks for the helpful feedback, Kristeni! It's much appreciated. While the holidays can be quite busy for us, there's no excuse for the multiple mix-ups you faced during your meal. I'd be happy to take your comments to the rest of the team. Meanwhile, I hope we get another shot to serve you up a great meal. I'm positive we won't disappoint twice.

Best,
Denise Chelekis, Owner

Camille's was recommended a few years ago by locals & we were not disappointed. So just had to go back again. The food is excellent & service is great! Owner, Denise & entire staff are very friendly & accommodating. So far only had breakfast but perhaps will go for dinner next trip to KW. I been told it's all good.
