We dined at Michael's the last night of our stay in Key West. Most of our top restaurant picks had closed their doors for vacation during our stay, so we were so excited to call and find out that Michael's had just opened their doors that week! We arrived early (around 6:00pm) and were seated immediately outside per our request. This restaurant is as fine dining as you can get in Key West while still "Key West casual." The waiters are much more polished than your typical waiters at other Key West restaurants. We hardly noticed when they serviced our table. Do order the Tropical Martini.. I don't usually drink martini's but this drink (actually two of them) changed my mind! For appetizers, order the Seafood Crepe (The best appetizer I have ever had!) and/or the "House Salad" (not sure correct name, but you'll know what I mean). Both were delicious! For entrees, The cowboy steak (cooked medium, don't insult the chef with well done request!) and the special filet that was stuffed with panchetta, mozzarella and red peppers encrusted with a herb/parmesan crust. Also included were garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. I savored every bite! It was truly the best steak dinner I have ever had... and I have eaten at Morton's! Top it off with the chocolate volcano dessert! Wow! Truly, Truly a wonderful dining experience! Don't miss out on the best restaurant in Key West!
