If this place was on the water, it would be on the Food network. And it's not on Duval, Front street or tucked away behind some resort on it's own little island. But on little known margaret street, Michael's sits and waits for appreciative foodies like me to find. If it's warm or rainy, sit inside. If it's nice, sit outside in the lovely garden. Some of the appetizers we had were the oysters rockefeller with artichoke bacon and rich cheese broiled to creamy perfection. Maryland crabcakes were crispy and chunky with lump crab meat. caesar salad was top notch. Cool and crisp romains, buteery crisp croutons with obviosly home made dressing. Michael's stuffed veal chop was amazingly tender and flavor of procutto stuffing worked well with the marsala reduction. Garlic mashed potatoes were addictive. Prime NY strip with the tenderness of almost a tenderloin is difficult to achieve, but Michael's managed it. Only the arrival of a very large loud party prevented us from staying for desert. Service between courses is a little slow, but this is key west. You are on Island time now. Slow down. The wine list is a little short. the addition of a few robust Italian reds, like a Brunello would be nice, but the Napa Cab worked well. Prices are not bad either. I have paid much more for much less. Overall, this is without a doubt, the finest eatery in Key West.

Have been coming to KW for 14 years and never miss at least one night at Michael's. The food from appetizer to Key Lime Pie is outstanding and the service and atmosphere is second to none. I won't even begin to review the individual dishes I had since I know I'll run out of room but I will say I have never had a bad dinner at Michael's. It is an outstanding restaurant.

we choose this restaurant for our last holiday for eating somewhere special. and it was perfect. the waitress were so good and the meal so special! we liked it a lot. but it was also one of the most expensive restaurants i ever ate so far (i eat not so expensive normally). but it was definitely worth the money!

We opted for Michaels after deciding to go for a steak dinner and reading reviews on tripadvisor.
We had not to regret our decision.

Service was friendless and efficient. But, most important, the steaks were wonderful! Even the filet on the kids menu was juicy and tender, cooked rare at the perfection, as we ordered. They really loved it!

Certainly not the cheapest option in Key West, but service and even more food are definitively worth the price! If you're looking for good steaks, Michaels is your choice.

Our last night in Key West we walked to Michael's Restaurant from our Guest House, the Equator. Michael's has both indoor and patio dinning. We were seated on the patio, as the indoor dinning was completely full. Fortunately we were close to a fan so it was still comfortable, with temps in the higher 80's at 9 PM.
The service was good, and the food excellent. My partner had a 40 ounce steak that was excellently prepared while I had a seafood combination, which was very good, but after seeing Michael's steak I wish I had ordered that. The prices were a little on the high side, but then nothing is economical in Key West if one want something nice.
