Subpar food mars this otherwise lovely location. The food here is not fresh, the menu reads like any menu in the Northeast, heavy on meat and lacking local foods. Last time I was here (have been going for years because it is a family tradition) I ordered grouper which should have been a local catch. Instead, the fish had been shipped in from the Bahamas, and it was obviously frozen, because it was dry and tasteless. The preparation included globs of some sort of flavored mayonnaise, which I had to scrape away. Similar globbed up with awful mayo-based dressing was a hearts of palm salad (seeking something local and tropical I ordered this). Avoid the restaurant, and if want want the view, at 1/4 the price, go to the Sourthernmost Beach Cafe -- its also pretty poor food, but the drinks are fine, and its not pretending to be anything but what it is - a place to enjoy a fantastic view with a drink in hand and a bite to eat.
