One my dreams was to go Tarpon Fishing. Unfortunately I booked a charter w/ Capt Scott on Too Lethal Charters. I have taken about 12 different charters in my life and this was by far the worst experience I have had. Not only didn't we go Tarpon fishing as we had talked about earlier but Capt Scott could not have cared less if we enjoyed our selves. My advice is don't risk it.

I chartered the Too Lethal with Captain Scott Gordon for a half day (this was back in Sept) and was not impressed at all.
1. We fished in the mooring harbor (about 1 mile from the dock), anchored and drifted back cut bait for tarpon. It was late in the season for tarpon and all we caught was 2 catfish.
2. Scott was rude and short. I own a 34' CC and have been offshore fishing my whole life yet Scott treats you like you've never held a rod and micro manages ever move.
3. You could tell he was jaded and and didn't care. He wasn't prepared, he didn't have any live bait or chum just some frozen bait. We stopped by "waterworld" a floating barge that usually sells bait. They didn't have any so guess what, we didn't have proper bait for our $550 day of fishing.
4. You could tell he didn't want to drive the boat far because it uses gas. He was more interested in talking a big game at the dock to get you to charter him, then once he had your money and your out on the water he was took you out in the harbor without prf being with him we (there were 2 of us on the charter) basically ignored him/stopped talking/interacting with him. I felt like I was taken and on a tourist trap fishing charter. it was truly a joke and I am taking my time to go out of my way to for warn others (I normally don't write reviews).
5. The day sucked (2 catfish and in view of the dock) so I only gave him a $50 tip ($550 for 4 hour charter + $50 tip=$600) and he was disappointed at the tip (which was low by my standards) but I felt he didn't deserve any tip. No fish caught of any value, no gas spent, no bait. Too Lethal and Scott Gordon are a waste of time and money. He didn't even apologize for the lame day.
